Fic starts at end of Queer as Folk 307, and continuous with a different way 308 could have happened.

It is the Winter of 1944 in occupied France. The allies have landed and slowly, so slowly, made their attempt to push to the borders of Germany. Sergeant Brian Kinney is too busy trying to keep his men alive and do his duty to worry about anything else, much less a personal life. Every thing changes one day when one of his men, recently killed in an ambush, is replaced with a raw new recruit, Private Justin Taylor. The kid looks like he's barely out of High School and totally wet behind the ears. The Sarge is not happy, especially when without warning Sergeant Kinney finds himself fighting a different kind of war than the one on the battlefield. I am dedicating this story to my 83 year old Dad who served bravely and honorably in WWII and the Vietnam War. I am also dedicating this story to all the GLBT men and women who also served with honor, but in silence throughout history. Many thanks go to the amazing Eka for her brilliant banner and to my friend Pat for her beta skills.

This story continues about one year after episode 513 with Brian about to receive the third painting from Justin’s Santa Barbara Exhibit.� As you will remember, one painting was sent to Melanie (see Sparring Partners); one painting was sent to Michael (see Superheroes).�� Melanie and Michael experienced strong reactions, upon receiving their respective paintings.� We continue with Brian and Justin as partners in a long distance relationship for the last year, with Justin pursuing his art career in NYC and Brian still running Kinnetik in Pitts.� However, Brian is currently pursuing a major account and has asked Justin to return to Pitts. to help with the artwork for the presentation.� Gus (age 6) staged a hunger strike in Toronto to be able to go to Pitts. for a visit.� As a result of certain events (see Meanwhile In Toronto), Melanie and Lindsay are also in Pitts. for a visit.�� Justin has an exhibit in three months in NYC, and he wants to paint at Bri-tin.� Justin and Brian are planning to temporarily live at Bri-tin, while Justin is painting.� As you will remember, there’s quite a lot going on...please, join me as the story continues.

About a year after episode 513, Justin did three paintings for an art exhibit��in Santa Barbara, CA.� Rather than sell these paintings, Justin decided to ship them directly from the art exhibit to various destinations.� One of those paintings was sent to Melanie, (see Sparring Partners for fic).� The second of those painting was sent to Michael.� This is a Brian/Justin fic with a different perspective on Michael.
