Justin woke up feeling happy. He was lying in Brian’s large bed snuggled up to the brunette. He wasn’t sure how he got there but he wasn’t complaining. Last night they had all gone to Babylon. Brian Michael, Emmett, and Ted had all gone for fun. Justin had gone for work. He really wanted to spend time with his friends, and once again felt regret at taking this job. However it did help having Brian come over every once and a while and talk at to him. Sap didn’t seem to like it but for some reason Sap never wanted to approach Brian… It was like he was afraid of him.
Justin shifted slightly and looked up at Brian who was staring at him. He chuckled.
“What is it?” the blonde asked.
Brian laughed softly.
“Nothing. Its just usually at this time I would be freaking out as to why a trick was still in my bed, and kicking him out at the same time… but I don’t really mind with you, I feel calm with you.” he said softly and Justin was shocked at how honest Brian was.
“Lack of coffee is making me say things I would usually never say.” he explained as if he could read Justin’s thoughts.
“So this is a great time to ask you if your ass is real or if you have implants?” Justin joked.
“Twat.” Brian responded and spanked Justin. Justin giggled.
“Go get me some coffee.” Brian ordered and Justin rolled his eyes.
“Yes sir!” he said with false enthusiasm. Brian smirked.
“Oooh, I like that.” he said jokingly and Justin shook his head, smiling.
He climbed out of bed and walked naked towards the kitchen and turned on the coffee maker.
~~~~~
Justin rode in the passenger seat of Brian’s car towards PIFA. Once he had mentioned that he was running late fore his second day at school Brian had insisted he give him a ride. They didn’t talk much but the silence was comfortable. They pulled up into the parking lot of the school and Justin grabbed his things.
“Thanks for the ride, Brian.” he said in a rush and Brian smiled.
“No problem.” he leaned over and stole a small kiss from the blonde.
“Meet me at the diner for lunch, ‘kay?” Brian said and Justin laughed.
“You’re actually WANTING to eat there? I thought you were too good for it.” he teased. Brian snorted.
“I am. Meet me there and we’ll go somewhere better.” he joked while smirking.
Justin shook his head.
“Sure, see you then.” he said and jumped out of the jeep. He walked to the building where his first class was held.
He couldn’t wipe the goofy smile from his face all morning.
~~~~~
Brian walked into the diner hoping to see Justin there already. He had no such luck. Walking over to the booth in the back he waved at Kiki, as if announcing his presence. She nodded to him and he sat down. Soon he had a cup of coffee before him.
He looked over to the door of the diner and sighed. Justin was late.
Brian scolded himself for acting like a girlfriend on her period. Justin was an adult. So what if he was a little late? He’ll be here. He looked down at his coffee, suddenly bored.
Less than a minute later he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up hoping to see Justin but instead he saw a tall man, lean, handsome. No Justin, but not bad. The man winked at him and nodded towards the bathrooms. Brian was about to get up and follow him when Justin walked into the diner. The blonde made it over to table.
“Hey Brian,” he said, and looked at the man next to him. His eyes widened.
Brian wasn’t sure how Justin felt about monogamy. Technically they weren’t even dating… well they have a date coming up but he wasn’t sure what Justin thought that meant, and although he wanted to get to know Justin better he wasn’t sure he was ready to give up tricking.
“Give me a second, I’m going to go fuck this guy real quick.” he said bluntly and Justin looked a little shocked. Brian felt a little bad but he needed to know how Justin felt about his kind of thing, and not being one for words thought this would be the best way how.
“Um… Brian, can I talk to you?” he asked and Brian sighed. He didn’t want to fight with Justin but he had to let the blonde know how things were before they went…well, anywhere together.
He nodded to the trick who was glaring at Justin. He followed Justin out of the diner and before the blonde could speak Brian opened his mouth.
“Listen Justin, I know I asked you out, and I meant it but I am not going to stop tricking. It’s just sex and you should realize that the stuff I do with you is completely different.” he stated and Justin looked a little amused.
“Brian… I’m not stopping you from tricking, hell, I enjoying tricking and I don’t think I’m ready to really give that up either. The reason I pulled you out here is cause that guy in there is Big Red’s ex… ya know the guy I work with? Well apparently he has a massive case of anal warts.” he finished and Brian stood slightly gaping.
“So… you don’t mind me tricking?” he asked and Justin smiled.
“Nope… just as long as you’re honest with me, and uh… I would appreciate it if you didn’t blow me off for a trick either. That’s kind of shitty.” he said, looking back into the diner at the trick who was currently flirting with someone else.
Brian nodded, feeling a little relived.
“Come on… let’s go inside and eat.” he said.
Justin nodded and followed Brian back into the diner. They sat down in the booth in the back where Brian was moments earlier. He picked up he coffee and looked over at Justin was smiling at him.
“What?” he asked and Justin chuckled.
“Just thinking… you said that what we do is different than what you do with a trick.” he said grinning and Brian groaned.
“I didn’t mean it like THAT, Romeo.” Brian said, not even believing his own words.
Justin saw through him.
“You so care about me…” he sang.
Brian rolled his eyes while covering his smiled with the coffee mug.
“You love me sooooo much!” he continued to tease Brian but before he could defend himself another voice chimed in.
“You still can’t sing for shit, Justin, you know that?”
Justin whipped around and saw a young woman with dark curly hair wearing a halter top. Justin jumped out of the booth and hugged the girl who hugged him back. Brian frowned.
‘Why does this keep happening?’ he thought to himself and stood up.
“Daphne!” the blonde shouted and got the attention of the whole diner. He blushed as the mysterious girl giggled. Justin turned towards Brian.
“Daphne this is Brian, Brian, this is Daphne… remember? I told you about her…” Justin rambled on excitedly.
“Kicked Chris Hobbs’ ass… yeah you told me.” he said holding his hand out for the girl to shake. She took it.
“I’d do it again in a heartbeat.” she said very seriously. He nodded.
“So Justin, what happened with the whole ‘I’m never ever, ever having a boyfriend ever again ever.’ thing?” Daphne asked, doing a bad impression of Justin.
Justin blushed.
“Brian’s not my boyfriend. He’s my… uh, friend… and we… uh,” Justin stumbled.
“We fuck.” Brian provided for the blonde whose blush seemed to deepen.
“Ohhh friends with benefits, I get it.” Daphne said smiling.
An awkward silence followed that statement until Justin cleared his throat.
“So what are you doing here?” Justin asked girl.
“Well I got some time off of work and school and I thought I would come see you. I was supposed to come yesterday with Ben and Hunter but something came up and I had to catch a later flight.”
“Why didn’t they tell me?” the blonde seemed offended and Daphne giggled.
“I told them not to. I wanted to surprise you!” she said enthusiastically.
The two sat back down and started to chat again. Brian once again felt out of the loop. The two talked for a good ten minutes before Justin looked at his watch and gasped.
“I have to get to class!” he exclaimed and jumped up. Justin looked over and Brian and frowned.
“I’m sorry Brian…” he said, as if he just realized how much he just ignored the brunette.
“It’s alright.” Brian smiled, “Just go to class.”
Justin nodded before saying goodbye to Daphne and making his way out of the diner. Brian stood up as well.
“Where are you going?” she asked him and he looked a little surprised at the question.
“To work.” he answered and walked towards the door. Daphne followed him.
“Great! I’m coming with you!” she said happily and he stopped.
“Are you insane?” he asked and she rolled her eyes.
“Duh, I’m from New York.” she replied.
Brian rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Fine…” he agreed.
He wasn’t sure why he was letting her come with him but what’s the worst that could happen? If anything he could learn more about Justin.
She followed him out to his car and climbed in.
“So where do you work?” she gasped, “Are you a porn star?!” she asked excitedly.
Brian looked over at the odd girl that was in his jeep… Justin’s best friend.
“No.” he answered and she seemed to deflate.
“Oh.”
“You’re not like other people… are you?” he asked warily and she grinned.
“Nope!”
Brian groaned.
~~~~~
Ben was lost. He was walking down a part of Liberty Ave. completely confused. He and Hunter were just there the other day meeting Justin and that jerk he was with, but now he couldn’t recognize anything. If Hunter were here with him he was sure they’d be able to find their way around. He was excellent at remembering various buildings and such. Ben knew that this was a result of Hunters years as a hustler but it was a good skill to have. Unfortunately for Ben, Hunter had insisted in staying at the hotel, sleeping. He sighed., stopped and looked around. Shrugging his shoulders he thought now might be a good time to ask for some help. He saw a small comic book shop entitled “Red Cape Comics.”
He walked inside and looked around the small shop. A few kids littered the place looking at different comic book, and a short man with brunette hair sat behind the counter reading a comic book himself.
Ben cleared his throat.
~~~~~
Michael was reading an issue of “Captain Astro” when he heard someone clear their throat, obviously trying to get his attention. He looked up and saw a tall, handsome, well built man standing in front of him. He quickly laid the comic book down and gave his attention to the man.
“Can I help you?” he asked and tried his best not to check the man out.
~~~~~
Ben smiled. The man behind the counter was cute… hot even. He had a nice smile too. He shook his head, quickly trying to remember why he was in there in the first place. Directions! Right.
“I’m… completely lost.” Ben said and the man laughed.
“Where are you trying to go?” he asked.
“Liberty Diner… I was just there the other day, but without Hunter I’m hopeless.” Ben said and saw the confusion on the man’s face. “Oh! Hunter’s my son… well, adopted son. Not my boyfriend or anything.” Ben stuttered and shook his head.
“I mean, it’s not like you care if he were my boyfriend or not, he’s just way too young for me and…” Ben stopped when he saw the amusement the other mans face. He sighed, realizing that he was making an ass out of himself.
“I’m Ben.” he finished simply and the other man smiled.
“I’m Michael, and I can take you to the diner, I’m headed there now for lunch… well a late lunch anyway.” Michael said and hopped off of his stole and proceeded to round up the remaining kids in the shop and out the door.
Ben chuckled at the various complaints coming from the kids.
Michael walked behind the counter and grabbed his jacket and keys.
“Come on… I’ll show you a great way to remember where it is. I used to do it when I was younger.”
Ben smiled and followed the slightly shorter man.
For once in his life, Ben was happy that he had no sense of direction.
~~~~~
Brian walked into Vanguard with Daphne on his tail. He was still curious as to why he let the girl come with him. She followed him up to his office. He placed all his stuff down on his desk and she sat on the chair in front of it.
“So… we should get started!” the girl said excitedly.
Brian looked at her with a questioning gaze.
“What are you talking about?” Brian asked.
“Well you don’t think I’m actually going to let you date Justin without my approval first, did you?” she asked, and swung her feet up onto the desk waiting for him to answer.
“What are you, his mother? He doesn’t need your ‘approval’.” he said annoyed, “and we are NOT dating!” he added.
Daphne rolled her eyes. “Whatever… Justin said that about Cody too… and he was lying. So, first question. How many exs do you have?”
Brian stood shocked at the audacity of this girl. Here she was sitting in his office, asking him questions about his life and he had only met her moments ago.
“So?” she asked.
“None.” he groaned out.
“Okay… how many times have you and Justin been together?”
“Too many to count.” Brian replied while smirking. She shook her head.
“Ever take recreational drugs?”
“Oh no, I’m such a good boy, I would never…” he answered in a high pitched voice.
She rolled her eyes.
“Any STDs?”
“Nope. Are you done?” he asked and she sighed.
“For now… I’ll think of more questions later.” Daphne said and Brian shook his head.
“Well, now that you’re done, it’s my turn.” Brian said.
Daphne raised an eyebrow.
“Tell me more about Ethan…” Brian said nonchalantly, as if he really didn’t care.
The girl looked surprised at the question, but acknowledged it anyway.
“What do you want to know?”
“Justin told me a little bit, but not much. He said that he kind of started stalking him for a while.” Brian said.
Daphne snorted.
“Kind of stalked him? He was obsessed! He even went as far stealing Justin’s comb! That man had issues. After Ethan, Justin swore up and down that he would never, NEVER date again… needless to say that didn’t last long. I mean even after Justin started dating Cody, Ethan was there, watching, following, sending him creepy notes. Ethan must have thought it was romantic… when really he was just making himself out to be a lunatic. Justin was going to do a few years in NYU before he headed to PIFA… but Ethan wouldn‘t let up so he left early.” Daphne finished.
Brian looked a little shocked. He had no idea it was that bad… when Justin told him he thought that maybe this Ethan guy couldn’t let it go but the way Justin brushed it off he figured the man had gotten over it.
“What about the cops? Didn’t he go to the police?” Brian asked and Daphne sighed.
“They didn’t think that a gay teenager with a male stalker was a top priority.”
Brian sighed.
“Then there was Chris… he wasn’t really a boyfriend, more of a fling. Chris didn’t see it like that though… I honestly think he was in love with Justin. He was messed up to begin with and Justin shouldn’t have gotten involved. But it’s not like he would have guessed what would have happened…”
“and of course, there was Cody. We all told Justin to stay away from Cody but Justin said he made him feel safe, still dealing with the Ethan thing and all that. Cody started to teach Justin how to fight and he actually got pretty good at it…”
“Yeah. I know.” Brian interrupted while of handedly rubbing his stomach.
“…but Cody was a control freak. He wanted to control where Justin worked, who he talked to, who he fucked… everything.” Daphne said sadly, remembering the man who tried to take her best friend and brother away.
Brian felt bad, and he regretted getting so uptight about Justin when he started working for Sap… which was odd because he never felt regret. That was his first rule, no apologies, no regrets.
“I guess Cody started to get violent with him. I mean Justin understood that Cody had a temper, but he never thought he would hit him. That’s when Justin left. He moved in with Hunter and Ben but Cody didn’t stop there. Ben ended up having to go get Justin’s stuff with him, almost pummeled the asshole… I still think he should have.”
“Why didn’t he?” Brian asked.
“Oh Zen Ben isn’t into confrontation… he avoids it at all costs.” Daphne answered while smiling. Ben was an odd man to say the least.
Brian laughed. He understood what all the questions were about now, and was sure she wasn’t finished. He still wasn’t sure why he brought the girl along… but he was glad he had.
~~~Saturday~~~
Justin stood in front of the mirror in Ted’s apartment. He was getting ready to go the Saperstein’s party. He felt dread at the thought of being in the man’s house but knew he had to.
“It’s just a couple of hours…” Justin kept repeating to himself but it didn’t help. He still really didn’t want to go.
He heard a knock at the door and walked over to answer it. He opened the door and there stood Brian. The man looked him up and down and raised his eye brows.
“You look far too hot to be going to a party at Sap’s…” Brian said while inviting himself inside. Justin laughed and blushed a little at Brian’s words.
Brian leaned over and placed a small kiss on his lips. Justin was surprised but not complaining. The two walked into the apartment. Brian sat on the couch while Justin stood in front of the mirror again. Brian sighed.
“Is there anything I can do to convince you not to go, Sunshine?” he asked softly.
Justin turned to the man and shook his head.
“I really need to go Brian… It sounds cheesy but my future as an artist depends on it.” Justin said sadly and Brian nodded. He stood up and walked over to the blonde. He wrapped his arms around him.
“I know… I just get a really bad feeling about it… maybe if I came with you.” he suggested and Justin smiled.
“I wish, but Sap said to come alone. I’m not going as a guest… I’m ‘eye candy’” he said and Brian frowned.
“Are you sure there isn’t anything I can do?” he asked again, on the verge of begging but before Justin could answer him Justin’s phone rang in the next room.
He smiled at the man, and wiggled out of Brian’s arms, heading towards the guest bedroom to answer it. Brian followed him, hoping it was something to stop Justin from going.
“Hello?” Justin answered wearily, not recognizing the number.
“Justin, it’s Saperstein.”
“Oh, hello Mr. Saperstein.” Justin answered with less enthusiasm.
“I was calling because I realized that you don’t have my address… would you like me to pick you up?” the man asked and Justin shuddered at the thought.
“Oh, no, its fine, I’ve already called a cab…” he lied.
Justin turned around in the small room and saw Brian leaning against the door frame, looking at him questioningly.
Saperstein gave Justin the address and hung up.
“Who was that?” Brian asked.
“It was Sap… wanting to know if I needed a ride.”
Brian’s eyes widened.
“You said no, right?” the brunette asked and Justin smiled.
“Yeah, I said no.”
The man sighed in relive, but then stopped himself.
“How does he know your number?” Brian asked.
“He knows all of the dancer’s numbers… it’s kind of a rule.” Justin replied and Brian rolled his eyes.
“Figures.” Brain said and Justin frowned. He didn’t want to go to Sap’s and now that Brian was here he really didn’t want to go. He slipped the phone into his pocket and walked over to the other man.
“I’ll see you later, okay Brian?” he said softly and Brian smiled.
“Yeah… later.”
~~~~~
Brian jogged up the stairs to his loft. A big part of him wanted to go back down stairs, get into his jeep and go rescue Justin. The two would go to Cancun and sun bathe and fuck of the beach until they were 90. Brian shook his head. He wasn’t sure why Justin made him think about stupid crap.
~~~~~
Justin sighed heavily as he made his way to the large house that was Sap’s. He wanted nothing more than to call Brian to come pick him up, but he knew he couldn’t do that. The door was open and he made his way inside. He looked around.
He saw many men, Sap’s guests, and a few guy he worked with, but no Sap… not yet, at least.
He spotted Big Red across the room and made his way over to him.
Justin stood against the wall next to the man.
“Hey Red… how long have you been here?” Justin asked and the man snorted.
“Too long… you just get here?” he asked. Justin nodded.
“Yeah well, I think Sap’s looking for you. That man has a serious hard on for you.” Big Red joked.
Justin shook his head. He wanted to hit Big Red for pointing out the obvious, instead he leaned back against the wall. Big Red looked over at him.
“Listen Jus… you and I both know Sap isn’t a good guy, and he really does seem to have a hard on for you. I just… I don’t know. Just be careful, okay?” he finished.
Justin seemed a little confused. He didn’t like Sap or anything but he didn’t really see any reason to be careful around him. He nodded to the man anyway.
“I will be.”
Big Red nodded and pushed himself from the wall.
“Robby went to the bathroom a little while ago. I’m going to go check on him.” he said and walked away. Justin sat alone, feeling bored. He started to wonder around the house, declining various offers of different men. He was hoping to run into Big Red again but was having no luck finding him.
He felt an arm go around his waist and was ready to reject yet another one of Sap’s friends when he turned around and saw it was the man himself. Sap stood there with a sly smile on his face and a drink in his hand.
“You made it.”
“I said I would.” Justin replied, trying to get out of Sap’s grip.
The man smirked.
“Here, have a drink.” Sap offered and Justin shook his head.
“I’m too young…” Justin said. The older man laughed.
“I won’t tell anyone.” he replied and offered him the drink again.
Something in the back of his mind told him not to. That old rule about not excepting open drinks from people you don’t trust… but this was his boss. There’s no way he could do anything to him without getting in trouble… he wouldn’t dare.
Justin nodded slowly and took the drink. He sipped the drink and had to admit, it tasted good. Sap still had his arm around him. Justin tried his best to ignore him.
“So, would you like a tour?” Sap asked and Justin shrugged. He took another large gulp of his drink as Sap started to lead him around the house.
He started to feel a little dizzy so he set the drink down on a table as Sap started to lead him up stairs. He wanted to ask the man to let him go but for some reason the words weren’t coming out of his mouth. He wanted to struggle but he felt too weak. Pretty soon he wasn’t being led, but dragged up the stairs. Once they got to the top Sap started down the hall and into a room. The room was large and Justin figured it was the master bed room.
He felt panic.
He started to pull away from the man the best he could, but only succeeded in falling down. He heard Sap chuckle at him. The man leaned down and picked Justin up as if he were a rag doll.
Justin didn’t know what to think. He was sure the man had slipped him something and cursed himself for not listening to… well everyone who told him not to go. His head was spinning and he couldn’t keep his feet on the ground. He felt Sap lay him down on the oversized bed and soon the man was on top of him. His first thought was to fight off the man… but he could barley move at this point. His second was to scream for help but he couldn’t seem to catch his breath.
He felt helpless,completely helpless.
