By the way, does anybody want to be my beta? I guess my English is - well interesting, lol. But it’s not my first language - so this is my excuse. Hope you enjoy this chapter though. =) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian’s POV I couldn’t believe what this little drama princess told me! And I thought we had made some progress here! Fuck yes, we managed to get into a real stupid situation again. But I thought we could get through everything as long as we were together. Maybe I should stop thinking like a lesbian who had watched too many love movies. But this didn’t mean I would give up on him now! It was his own fault that he put this strange feeling into my heart. (Okay, okay, I couldn’t completely stop those Lesbian thoughts - but this was HIS fault too!) “Come on, Jus.” I tried again. “We will better get through this shit if we stay friends and stick together.” “Ha! If we weren’t friends, we wouldn’t even be in this shit! It’s all your fault!” He shouted back, and for a moment it looked as if he wanted to jump at me. But not in the way I might have liked it. He starred at me as if he wanted to beat me up. Well, he was so much smaller than me, but don’t underestimate the secret strength of a furious person! So I decided to leave him alone for a little while till he had calmed down a bit again. The next hours seemed like days because nobody said a word. So the time didn’t go by. But Justin absolutely didn’t want to talk to me, and I didn’t know what to tell him that wouldn’t make him angry. He probably even wanted to kill me if I had said something like “I love you” to him. (Not that I would ever say something like that, but still…) So we silently counted the little stones at the wall. Sighs. God, this was killing me! And I did something that I hadn’t done anymore since I was a child: I started to eat my fingernails. Now Justin began to talk to me again. Well, it was only something like “This is disgusting!” but after the long silence even those angry words sounded sweet to me (Okay, sometimes I doubted myself!) I grinned smugly at him and wanted to continue to chew my nails. Instead I accidentally bit my finger. Aw, that hurt. Fuck! Justin laughed like crazy when suddenly somebody opened the door and entered our cell. Blondie immediately stopped laughing and looked pretty shocked as the cop made a sign that he should follow him. I thought my heart would explode. I was so scared that they would transfer him in another cell. I wouldn’t survive to be alone in such a hole. Justin’s POV My knees were shaking because I had no idea what they wanted from me and the man next to me didn’t talk. We walked for a while till he stopped in front of a green door. When he opened it, I only starred questioningly at him, but didn’t make a step forward. So he shoved me almost violently in the room before he closed the door behind me. On the desk in front of me an elderly friendly looking guy smiled at me. “Hello. Come and have a seat please.” Oh. My. God. Somebody who spoke English. I was so happy, I had to force myself to be strong. I couldn't throw myself at him and kiss him. “I’m detective superintendent Petii.” He introduced himself and gave me his hand that I only took hesitantly. I didn’t trust his sweet smile. After asking some personal stuff he finally wanted to know what happened in the forest. “Okay, I believe you.” The detective superintendent nodded when I had finished my version of the story. I was so happy that I had tears in my eyes. He really believed me! “Yes, a few minutes ago our psychologist asked the child what happened and the little boy’s statement agrees with yours. I’m sorry for the trouble that we caused. Of course, you aren’t longer arrested. You can go now. Oh, by the way, you told me you were a soccer player? Well, our town has a big party tomorrow. So we also have a soccer match against the team of the neighboring town. We would be very happy if you could play for us. Is your partner a soccer player too?” It took me a while to understand that he meant Brian with that. Hey, what? Do you look like partners? And why did he say that? Does he know that I’m gay? I was not sure how to react. So I put a fake smile on my lips and whispered sweetly. “Oh, Brian is only a friend. But not even a good one.” He sent me a look that clearly gave away that he didn’t believe me. And then he dared to giggle. TO GIGGLE!! God, if he wouldn’t be the detective superintendent I would have thrown some good obscenities at him. But I didn’t want to risk my new freedom. So I remained silent. “Well, my colleague said that you two would look like the perfect couple.” He grinned and I wondered if that person needed some new glasses. “But it doesn’t matter. I do not have anything against gay couples. I think they are so cute.” (Gee, he sounded worse than a female who was in love with the main character of a gay porn) “Well, what I wanted to say, if we win against the detested team of fools and arrogant bourgeois, we won’t bring a charge against your partner - ahm not so good friend. After all he attacked a policeman. And that’s a punishable offence in Finland. But if we win the match with your help, we could turn a blind eye.” Oha, that sounded like a blackmail. But on the other hand it also gave me a chance to get my own back on Brian. What if I told the detective superintendent that Brian was the world’s worst soccer player? And that he was a dangerous thug and it wasn‘t the first time he hit somebody? Maybe they would let him stay in jail a bit longer? I was a pretty good story teller if I wanted to be. So I could make sure that Brian wouldn’t be able to play tomorrow. Then I would be the only soccer star on the field! (I was convinced that I was a lot better than this bunch of provincial players.) So if Brian was still in jail, I wouldn’t have a rival. That sounded very tempting. So should I do it or not?
