Michael hated arguing with Ben, but they had been disagreeing since they’d gotten home from his Mom’s Sunday dinner. “Michael, Brian’s a big boy. He doesn’t need you to look out for him. Besides, Justin seems to be a nice kid.” “That’s just one of the problems. Justin’s just a kid. He’s at least ten years younger than Brian. Brian’s just doing the thing he usually does. He’s thinking with his dick.” “Then let him,” Ben said sternly. Michael was pissed that Brian had not only brought Justin to Sunday dinner at his Mom’s but he’d also introduced him to his son. He was even more upset that everyone seemed to accept Justin. Lindsey and Mel were enchanted with him. His Mom and Uncle Vic were acting like Justin was Brian’s partner instead of another trick he’d picked up. Everyone seemed to have completely forgotten about Sam. As much as Michael hated Sam he could tolerate him more than he could Justin. At least Sam didn’t try to worm his way into their group. Justin had only been in Brian’s life for a short time and he was already infiltrating himself into Brian’s life and Ben, Ted and Emmett seemed to accept him as part of their group. Michael knew that things were going too far. Worst of all was the way Brian himself was acting. He’d never seen Brian show the same level of attentiveness with Sam. He hated to admit it but Brian seemed happy with Justin. Ben didn’t see things the same way Michael did. He felt that if Brian and Justin were happy with each other that it was all that mattered. Everyone seemed to forget that Brian had a partner, Sam. Michael had even mentioned it to Ben. Ben had told him it was up to Brian to resolve that issue; it wasn’t any of Michael’s business. Of course Michael disagreed. He believed everything that pertained to Brian was his business. He wasn’t about to watch Brian make a fool of himself over a school-aged trick. “Brian has a partner. Has everyone conveniently forgotten about Sam?” Michael asked irritably. “When have you ever cared about Sam? He hasn’t exactly gone out of his way to make friends with any of us. Besides, that’s Brian’s problem to deal with not ours. So, let it go, Michael,” Ben warned. “Brian’s an adult and he’s chosen to be with Justin. If you interfere you’ll drive a wedge in your relationship with Brian.” Ben kissed Michael, “Just back off,” Ben said and walked into the bathroom. Michael watched Ben as he walked away. Logically he knew Ben was probably right. There was just one problem, Michael thought, he couldn’t let it go. For some reason he didn’t want Brian with Justin. Michael paced in the confined space of the living room. In the background he could hear Ben showering. He knew the routine. Ben would shower and then spend an hour or so grading papers. Michael stopped pacing and swiped his hand over his face. He knew he should be supportive of Brian but not this time. He didn’t feel as if Justin was right for Brian. He could see Justin pulling Brian away from him and the guys, even Sam couldn’t do that. Michael looked at the bathroom door guiltily. He had at least ten to fifteen minutes before Ben got out of the shower. Ben wouldn’t agree with what he was about to do, but he felt he had no choice. A little guilt nagged at him. He shrugged it away. He’d just have to make sure Ben never found out. Michael picked up the telephone and dialed. ------------------- Sam rested his head on the back of the sofa. Classical music played softly in the background. The only light burning in the formal living room was the light coming from the fireplace and a few candles on the mantle. Sam had been contemplating what to do about Brian all weekend. He was certain of one thing, he wasn’t letting Brian go. He knew how to bring Brian to heel. He had hoped he wouldn’t have to pull his trump card but Brian wasn’t leaving him any choice. He let out a sigh. The classical music that usually soothed him wasn’t doing anything. He rose from the sofa and poured himself another glass of wine. The telephone rang as he was returning to the sofa. He glanced at the caller id. He let out a sigh of regret when the call wasn’t from Brian. The call was from Michael. He made a mental note that once he’d brought Brian to heel he’d sever Brian’s relationship with his whiny friend. His friends were probably one of the reasons Brian hadn’t settled down to their relationship. He’d make sure to rid Brian of his no account friends as soon as he could. He ignored the call and continued to the living room and settled back on sofa. He heard the answering machine pick up and his greeting played. He expected Michael to leave a greeting for Brian. He was wrong. “Sam, this is Michael. I need to talk with you about Brian and…and his new plaything.” It only took Sam a moment to process the message. He rose from the sofa and picked up the cordless telephone from the base. He cut off the recording and answered. He didn’t bother with pleasantries. “I’m listening Michael,” he responded. Sam listened quietly. A cold anger seethed within him as Michael talked. He stopped Michael only once to ask a question. “And you are sure it’s Justin Taylor?” “Oh, yes. I’m sure,” Michael affirmed. When Sam was assured Michael had told him all he knew he ended the conversation. He replaced the phone on the base and drummed his fingers on the table. He completely drained his glass of wine and walked to the bar to pour something stronger. He poured a double scotch and drained it. His mind was working frantically. He’d known Brian was fucking around on him he just hadn’t known he was fucking Justin. The knowledge was almost more than he could comprehend. He’d been trying to fuck the piece of Blonde Boy Ass since the day he was hired. Justin had rebuffed him at every turn yet; he’d had no problems fucking Brian. He couldn’t believe that Brian was fucking Justin. Now he understood why Brian had been so solicitous and protective of the piece of Blonde Boy Ass. He was fucking him. Sam’s anger was seething almost out of control. “Fucking Whore!” he yelled as he threw his glass against the wall. It shattered and he watched the liquid trail down the wall. He didn’t know if he was calling Justin or Brian a whore. Sam raked his hands through his hair. He wasn’t about to lose Brian. He knew what was more important to Brian, money, and prestige. He knew what he had to do tomorrow. He intended to put an end to this travesty with Brian and Justin tomorrow. By tomorrow Brian would be back at home and the Blonde Boy Ass that was attempting to tear apart his family would be out of their lives. ----------------------------- Justin was stretched naked across Brian’s equally naked body. Their last bout of fucking had totally exhausted him. They’d been going at it since they walked in from Sunday dinner. That had been hours ago. Brian ran his fingers through his long strands and pulled his head up for a kiss. “Up for another one,” Brian asked. Justin moaned in mock pain and rolled off Brian, “Not unless you’re the bottom.” Brian rolled on his side and propped his head up on his hand. “That could be arranged.” Justin rolled over to face him. “Really?” He asked completely shocked. He’d never expected Brian to bottom. “Sure why not?” Brian asked amused at Justin’s shocked expression. Justin shrugged self-consciously, “I just never expected you’d let me…you know…do that to you.” Brian kissed Justin on the tip of his nose. “Learn something new everyday, huh, Sunshine,” Brian teased. Brian idly ran his fingers through Justin’s sweat soaked hair. His mind was drifting tomorrow. He’d made up his mind to give Ryder and Sam his notice. He knew it was risky, but since he’d decided to end their personal relationship things would never work with him and Sam at the same agency. He didn’t even want to think of all the things he’d have to do carry his plans out. Brian glanced at the clock. “I guess we need to get some rest. I have an early meeting with Sam.” “Brian last night you said if you had to leave RR&K you’d start your own agency.” Brian rolled over retrieved and lit a cigarette. He blew out a stream of smoke, “Yeah, so what?” “Why not just leave RR&K and start an agency of your own.” Brian gave it some thought before answering. “It’s not as easy as it seems Justin. There are start up costs and clients.” Justin took the cigarette from Brian’s fingers, inhaled and placed the cigarette back between Brian’s lips. “I know it’s not easy I just think you should be the one benefiting from your talents.” Brian wasn’t ready to tell Justin of his plans. He wanted to wait until he had things in motion. He wanted to put out a few feelers to assure if he left RR&K some of his clients would be interested in following him. A lot was at stake and tomorrow’s meeting would be a pivotal point in his future plans. Brian smashed the cigarette out in the ashtray and rolled on top of Justin. “You have two choices sleep or fucking. Your call.” Brian said. Justin chose fucking.
