Justin finally snaps out of the shock and questions Alex. "What do you think?" Alex looks at Shae smiling as he is coloring in with Kira. "I want my son back Justin." "No, you can't have him, he is mine." Alex smirks as she responds with a conniving expression. "You think so, let's just wait and see because I can guarantee you that they aren't going to choose some fag over his own mother." Alex says with venom in her voice. Brian suddenly yet smoothly moves in front of her. "Get the fuck out of here and stay away from them." Alex laughs and responds to Brian. "Yeah right like I'm going to listen to you, I mean who are you… just his fuck buddy or something?" "Alex, get the fuck away from my son and don't you ever talk to Brian like that again." "For now I will, but don't worry baby this is just the beginning." Alex walked out of the diner with a smile on her face. Meanwhile in the diner Justin is trying his hardest not to cry but he loses his resolve as he feels Brian wrap his arms around him. Brian whispers into his ear. "It's going to be okay. We will fight her together.” Justin looks up into Brian eyes and sees nothing but truth and love. He leans up to capture Brian's lips into a sweet passionate kiss. "Thank you." "Do you want to stay or go back to the loft?" "I want to go the loft...please." Brian hands Justin the keys to the jeep. "Go wait for us in the jeep and I'll get the kids." Justin responds by taking the keys and very slowly walking out of the diner with all his Sunshine seemingly just fading from him. Deb who was keeping the kids busy with the coloring in walks over to Brian as Justin walks out of the diner. "Who was that?" "Alex, Shae's mom." "Why is this the first time I heard about any of this?" "Because she left Shae when he was only a few days old and basically told Justin to take care of his son." "What a bitch! What is Sunshine going to do?" "I'm going to take him and kids back to loft and then I'm going to help Justin with this." "You love him don't you?" Brian only smiled because he knew it was more a statement than a question. He walked over to the booth where Kira and Shae were coloring in. "Daddy, come sit with us." "I can't baby, we have to go home." "Why Daddy B? Hearing Shae call him daddy B gives Brian a reason to smile for the first time since Alex walked into the dinner. "Because your daddy isn't feeling well, so come on." Both kids' hugged Deb good bye and Brian walked out of the diner holding their hands. He put them in the Jeep and as he started the car he heard Kira say something. "Daddy J, I hope you feel better. I love you." Justin smiles through his tear filled eyes. "I love you too brown eyes. I love you all very much." Brian smiles a little and they drive back to the loft in silence with one thought on their minds - what will Alex being here do to them?' ~~~~~~~~~~~ Alex arrives in her hotel room and goes to her room as she mutters to herself. "I can't believe it, Justin is gay, and well, he is not raising my son anymore!" Alex picks up the phone and calls her lawyer "Ron Patterson's office." "Yes, this is Alex Holland, I need to speak to Mr. Patterson." "Yes, Ma'am what is it pertaining to?" "My custody battle." "Okay, Miss. Holland, I will have him return your call." "Thank you." Alex hangs up the phone and smiles in a very unnerving manner as she says out loud to an empty room. "I'm not going to let some deviate raise my child." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back at the loft Justin walks up to the bedroom. "Daddy B, why did my daddy go to bed?" "He just need to rest. Do you guys want to watch a movie while you eat a snack?" Kira and Shae both respond. "Yay!" Brian got them each a snack and put in 'Monsters Inc'. "Okay, I'm going to talk to Daddy J. You two stay here and watch this, okay? If you need me come and knock on the door." "Okay Daddy." Brian walks up the room and sees Justin lying on the bed. He lay next to Justin and pulled him in to his body holding him. He suddenly hears soft whimpers and feels the tears fall onto his shirt. "Shh, it's going to be okay. You don't know why she is here?" Justin sniffles. "Yes, I do. She is going to take my son away from me." With that more tears begin to fall. "Jus, what ever the reason she is here, you are not alone." "What do you mean?" Justin feels he knows, but looks up at Brian with red rimmed eyes hoping to be right. "You have Kira and me. Oh and Deb and Emmett and fuck, my whole crazy family. If you want them to know they'll go nuts if they find out what Alex is up too." Brian wipes away Justin's tears. "No, I can't." Justin gets up and starts to walk out of the room. Brian sits on the bed as suddenly he isn't sure what just happened. "Shae lets go." "Why Daddy?" Brian runs out of the room "Justin, wait!" Justin turns around and looks at Brian still with red rimmed eyes. "What Brian?" Justin now has tears threatening to fall. "You don't have to fight her alone. I want be here for you and Shae. Please ...let me!" Justin looks in eyes and sees the honesty with the pleading. "K, Bri." Brian walks over and pulls Justin into a soul shattering kiss. "Daddy, who are you fighting with?" "Shae, remember when I told you it takes a mommy to carry the baby?" "Yeah, and you said my mommy had to go away but she left me with you because she knew you would love me more than she could ever." Shae beams a junior yet perfect Sunshine smile and Brian and Justin walk over to the couch and sit in front of the kids. "That's right, but your mom came back. That's who I am going to fight with." "Why?" Justin stares at Shae then looks at Brain searching for what he should say next. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jennifer Taylor was just about to leave her office when someone knocked on her door. "Come in." Alex walks through the door. "Hi Jennifer." Jennifer looks up shocked. "Alex, what are you doing here?" Alex walks over and sits down on a chair in front of her desk. "I'm here to get my son back." "He is not your son anymore." "Yes, he is. I know he wasn't at first but he will be." "What changed your mind?" "Justin. By how he is choosing to live his life. I will not have my son raised by two fairies." Jennifer smiles in response. "Alex, you will not speak about my son like that. He didn't choose to be gay. He just is. As for Brian, which I'm pretty sure that's who saw him with. I haven't met him but from what I heard he is a wonderful father to his own daughter and he is great with Shae. They are a family. So don't you dare come into my office and bad mouth my family. Now you may leave." "I underestimated you, Jennifer." Alex stands up to leave but before she walks out of the office she turns around. "Let your son know, that I will suing for full custody." Alex turns and walks out of the office. Jennifer picks up her cell phone to call Justin's cell "Justin." "Hey mom." "Justin, why don't you and Brian come to the house tonight?" "Mom, now is not a good time." "I know Alex is back. Come to the house and make sure Brian and Kira come to. I think it's time I met them." "Um, sure mom. I have to ask Brian but Shae and I will be there at seven, Ok?" "That sounds good. It's going to be okay sweetie." "Thanks mom." Justin hangs up the phone and turns to Brian as Jennifer walks out of her office and to her car, once she gets there she puts her head on the steering wheel and just prays that Alex will not win. ~Loft~ "What was that about?" "Alex went to see my mom." "Is she okay?" "I don't think so; mom wants me and Shae to come over tonight...and..." "What?" "She wants me to bring you and Kira too. I told her that I would be there but I wasn't sure about you." "I'll come." "I understand this is too soon for you and its fine." "Justin, I said I would come." "You did?" Brian gives his own version of a sunshine smile a go. "Yes, I did." "Thank you, again." Justin wraps his arms around Brian's neck to kiss him. "Don't you two do anything else?" Shae says while rolling his eyes. "No, we don't." "Yuck, I'm never kissing anyone." "Me either." "You say that now." "Okay who wants to go see Grandma Jen and Aunt Molly?" "I get to go see Molly yay!" Justin laughs at Shae's excitement. "Daddy J, is she my Grandma and Aunt?" Justin looks at Brian. "Um...n…" "Kira, you can ask them tonight okay?" Justin smiles at her as Brian walks into the kitchen. "You guys go play I need to talk to Daddy B. Justin walks into the kitchen and sees Brian leaning against the counter. "What's wrong?" "She is going to have so many questions." Justin puts his arms around Brian. "Like what?" "Where her mother is, why doesn't she have any real family?" "But she does Brian. She has a father who loves her more than his own life. She has Deb and your adoptive crazy family you told me about. And one more thing she has what no one else has." "What's that?" "She is getting a second father, and a brother as her best friend. Tonight she is going to have another grandmother along with an aunt." "Who's her other father?" "Me asshole, if you want me to be?" "I want it to be you." Justin crashes his lips with Brian and as they kiss they forget about everything and starting moving their hands over each others bodies. The next thing they know someone clears their throat. "You know, Kira is going to be the only five year old I know that can explain gay sex." Michael laughs as they both turn around to see Mikey standing there with a smirk on his face. Justin turns bright red and buries his face into Brian's shirt. "What the hell are you doing here Michael?" "I came to see if you were okay, Ma was cussing and I only got a few words; Brian, the evil bitch, and hurting Sunshine. Who's Sunshine?" "That would be me." Mikey smiles as he looks at Justin, then Brian and back to Justin. "Nice to me you." "Michael, Justin…Justin, Michael." "Hi." Justin is not as red as before. "How did you get in?" "Your daughter let me in." "Okay one…she is in trouble." "You can't get mad at me; you were busy having sex again." "Yeah." Both kids start to laugh and giggle. Michael looks at Brian and Justin. "I was right." "Kira!" "Yes Daddy." Kira walks into the kitchen batting her brown eyes. "Shae!? "Yes, Daddy." Batting his own green eyes. Mikey watches with amusement "Oh, they're good." "Shut up Michael, don't encourage them." "You are going to fit into my strange family just fine." Michael starts laughing at the kids who are mimicking their dads. "Both of you come with me. We have to get ready to go, see you later Michael." Justin kisses Brian and goes to get the children ready. Brian looks at Mikey. "Say it?" "I'm just going to say, I'm glad you found someone. Bring him to dinner on Thursday at ma's." "No!" "Fine then you will have to face Ma." "We'll be there." "Good." Michael hugs Brian before he leaves. Brian walks into the living room and sees Justin playing with the kids. He may not be sure what he is feeling but no matter what they will get through it together. Later on they all head to Jennifer's place. "Are you sure you're ready for this?" "No, but I'm doing it for you." "I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but thank you Brian, really." "Thank me tonight." Brian raises an eyebrow with an evil smile on his face. Justin laughs and then quickly becomes rather sultry. "I will." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Molly opens the door and ushers them all in. "Aunt Molly!" Shae dives into Molly and hugs her. "Hey baby, this beautiful girl with the gorgeous eyes must be Kira." "Thank you. How did you know my name? "Shae talks about you all the time." Molly hugs Kira, which Kira happily returns. "You can call me Aunt Molly too if you want?" Kira smiles her own version of the junior Sunshine smile, "Okay Aunty Molly." Molly looks at Brian and then at her bother. I'm glad you found him Justin, he's hot." Justin laughs and Brian smirks and kisses her cheek. "Thank you, beautiful." Jennifer walks into the living room and sees a man with his arm around her son and can't help but smile a little. Then she looks to where her grandson is and sees him playing with a beautiful little girl. "Justin, how are you doing sweetie?" Jennifer hugs and kisses Justin's cheek. 'I'm okay. Mom, this is Brian Kinney and his beautiful daughter Kira." "Nice to meet you Ms.Taylor." Shifting into Mr. Professional, Brian shakes her hand. "Brian, please call me Jennifer, I have a feeling we are going to be seeing a lot of each other." Kira walks over to Jennifer and shyly approaches. "Hi." Justin leans over to Brian and whispers; "Why is she acting shy?" "She wants to make a good impression." Brian smiles at his daughter. "Just wait by the end of the night she will have them both wrapped around her little finger." Justin laughs and leans over for a kiss. "You're right." "Eww, Daddy B and Daddy do you always have to kiss?" "Yes!" Both men respond with a chuckle. Everyone laughs. As the evening progresses they all sit down to a wonderful dinner where the kids kept everyone very entertained and as Brian promised Kira did have Jennifer and Molly both wrapped around her little fingers. They were all in the living room having coffee and desert. "What are you going to do about Alex?" "I'm not sure, but I do know she is not taking Shae away from me." Molly looks up in shock. "Alex is back!" "Yes, she paid me a visit today." "We had the pleasure at the diner." "What did she say mom?" "I can't repeat certain words in front of the kids." "Who is Alex?" Kira asks innocently. "My mom." Kira looks at her father. "Daddy?" "Would you excuse us for a minute?" "Brian, you can take her to Justin's old room to talk to her, it's the second door on the right." "Thank you, come on Kira." "Okay Daddy." After Brian and Kira go up the stairs and the remaining guests hear the door click. "Where is Kira's mom?" "She died giving birth to her and then her partner left so, Brian has been raising her." "What about his parents? I mean they must be there to help him out?" "His mom is religious fanatic and his dad used to beat him. They don't even know she exist and frankly I don't blame him. He does have his best friend's mom Deb, you'll love her. She takes care of Kira when he needs a few hours to himself which isn't often". "That's awful." "He wasn't as lucky as I am but I don't plan on leaving him or Kira anytime soon." "Do you love him?" "More than anything mom." "Good." "Why Mollusk?" "Because Kira is an angel and Brian is really hot." Justin smiles at his sister. "I know." ~Upstairs~ Brian sits Kira on the bed and then pulls the chair over to sit in front of her. "Brown eyes, um…what is your question?" "Why don't I have a mommy?" "You did." "Where is she? Did she not love me? Was I not good?" Brian moves next to his daughter and holds her very tightly. "Your mommy loved you very much before you where even born. You were perfect. She died when she had you." "Why?" Kira looks up with tears in her eyes. "She was sick and the doctor said he could help her but then you wouldn't have been able to be Daddy's princess. So, she said; ' I don't care what happens to me, take care of Kira.' She loved you so much and wanted to be here that she became an angel for you." Kira now has tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry Daddy." Brian holds her tightly while his own tears fall. "Don't ever be sorry brown eyes, you were the best gift in the world." They laid down holding each other for Lindsay. A short time later Justin and Shae come in to check on Brian and Kira and finds them both asleep, so Justin lies behind Brian and holds him and Shae goes and lies next to Kira. Justin whispers to Brian, 'I love you Brian." Justin then falls asleep. Brian was awoken with the sudden movement and he felt Justin lay behind him and he watched Shae curl up next to Kira. He heard the words and surprisingly he wasn't scared in fact he found comfort and he whispers back, “I love you too Justin” They both fall asleep with smiles on there faces. A few hours later Jennifer and Molly come in to check on them. "Mom, I'm glad Justin found Brian and Kira." "Me too." They close the door. "What are we going to do about Alex mom?" "I'll talk to the boys in the morning while you take Kira and Shae to the zoo, Ok?" "I want to be here." "Molly they are too young to hear this, please take the kids to the zoo. It's going to be a long fight let's go to bed." "Okay mom, night."
