Beta: Helen Banner: Helen Proof: G.M. Notes: This is final chapter actually 14 was but this is the end of the story. I want to thank everyone for reading this amazing story. I mean, you all have been very wonderful. I want to thank most of Helen and Gerri for always being there and helping me through everything and helping me when I was ready to give up. You are both the best. 6 Years into the future Justin: “I can’t believe I am graduating from College today.” (Sunshine smiles) Joan: “Why not? You have done amazing.” Justin: “I know and I never thought I would; especially since I ran away 6 years ago.” Brian: “You were dumb but I love you.” Justin walks over to Brian. Justin: “You’re lucky I love you too.” Brian and Justin laugh. Brian: “Can you believe we made it?” Justin: “I didn’t think we would, but we did.” Brian: “I am going to go downstairs and load the last box and then we can leave.” Justin: “Okay.” Justin walks around the room he had lived in since he was sixteen. The morning after he and Brian had made love all night he was scared that everything had changed, but it hadn’t; it only got better. He loved living with Brian, not everything was roses especially when Brian met the new guy, Mark; that was hard 3 ½ years ago Brian: “Justin, I am so sorry.” Justin: “Sorry for what? For kissing him, fucking him or me finding out.” Brian: “For everything; it was never supposed to happen.” Justin: “But it did.” Brian tries to walk over to him. Justin: “Don’t. Just don’t. You have no right to touch me or kiss me any more.” With that Justin leaves Brian’s room and goes to his own room. They had split up for 2 months and it was the worst 2 months for Justin but he also felt bad for Joan. She was caught in the middle; between her son and Justin whom she loved like a son. When Brian had come to ask her for advice she had told him that she wouldn’t get in the middle of her boys' fighting. He looked so sad by that and then she had asked the question. Joan: “Brian, do you love Mark?” Brian: “No, I don’t.” Joan: “Then why?” Brian: “You know Justin never asked that. I don’t know why; he came on to me but he knew I was with Justin, hell everyone does. He kissed me and I did push him away. Next thing I know, he kisses me again and I kiss back and one thing led to another. I regretted it as soon as it was over.” Joan: “Are you two dating?” Brian: “No, he follows me around but I love Justin.” Joan: “Then tell him everything you told me.” Brian: “I don’t know where he is…” Joan: “Upstairs, in his room.” Brian knocks on Justin’s door, he hears a mumbled “come in”. He walks in the room and closes the door. Justin’s head is face down in his history book. Brian: “Can we talk?” Justin looks up at him. Justin: “Sure.” Brian sits at the desk in the chair and just stares at him Justin: “Are you going to say anything? I have a history test tomorrow.” Brian: “Yeah, umm, I want to talk about the thing with Mark.” Justin tenses up. Justin: “Brian, I can’t please.” Brian: “I would never ask you to but please, just this once, listen.” Justin: “Okay.” Brian: “Let me say first off, I don’t love him, Hell I never loved him. I liked him yes, but only as a friend. It happened, and I know it sounds stupid but before I knew it, I had fucked him. I regret it Justin. I never wanted to hurt you.” Justin: “Why? Did you try to stop it?” Brian: “When he kissed me the first time I did, but then he kissed me again, I don’t know…” Justin nods his head. Justin: “Are you dating him?” Brian: “No, he has been following me around and wanting to hook up again but I tell him that I am in love with someone else.” Justin: “Oh,” Brian: “It’s you. I’m in love with you.” Present Justin is standing next to the window of the room that has been his home, his safe haven for the last six years, when he feels the firm arms of his lover and best friend wrap around his waist. Brian places his chin on his shoulder. Brian: “What are you thinking about?” Justin: “Just everything that happened when we broke up because of Mark.” Brian: “God that was horrible.” Justin: “I know.” Justin turns to face Brian. Justin: “I love you and I don’t regret our past or our future.” Brian: “Neither do I.” They gently kiss each other before walking downstairs to the future. They know that no matter what they will have each other.
