this is a delightful story. I had never heard of the goblin or the Snow King before. This is scary and good

Just discovered your little gems of fairy tales redoux, and couldn't tear myself away frm them !!!
Loved all the chapters, they were as imaginative as they were funny :))
Thanks for sharing.. now off to read your other fics :))
Author's Response: I just saw this. Thanks for reviewing so much. I know I'm a bit ...long-winded (I know yuk yuk, bad joke) but can't help it all these details just keep coming out. Glad you liked it.

Interesting. Loved the eternal summer place!

I'm not too cool with dragging a kid along in that situation.
Author's Response: Belie4ve me i had grave reservations myself and I was writing it! LOL Trust me, he turns into quite an important part of the story tho.

Not a silly fairy tale at all. Well written.
Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: March 04, 2011 07:20 AM · On: Epilogue/Conclusion
I should have seen that goblin coming - LOL! A fate worse than death for dear Craig - BTW, when the Ice King mentioned "a new meaning of punshment," I had a sudden flashback to Jabba's sand barge when Threepio mentioned the sarlacc pit - ha! Thanks for the cute story, my friend - can't wait to see the next little tale your vivid imagination dreams up!:)
Author's Response: Oh, that's where I'd heard that! Yes I guess Star Wars references abound in this story! BTW there was one more in Journey's end. Did you catch it?
Love and thx 4 reviewing
Jon

i really enjoyed that story
it was a different take on the classic
Author's Response: thank you very much. Yes things got a bit elaborate didn t they?

Finally got a chance to read the last part of this - what a cute, imaginative story! Loved the mother-in-law joke about the long, thick, neck and the round, fat bottom (I can sympathesize with her - LOL!). Sure you don't have a mother-in-law of your own - ha! And of COURSE they would have "fairy dust" at the loft - what other type of dust would you have? I'll be looking forward to your epilogue and seeing what "fairytale" you tackle next!:)

jason and hunter, what a match.
brian's heart was freezing his whole being. justin and gus saved himfrom himself. how will they ever get out now? maybe gus can melt the ice king's heart.

Why do I feel an evil laugh coming out of the Ice King at the end.....at least NOW I know why there's been so much snow and blizzard in the US this year - it's the work of that pesky Ice King. I knew there was a non-scientific explanation for it - LOL! BTW - there you again with the SW references - both of these pompous blowhards (emphasis on "blow" here!) seem to have a fetish for blue beams coming out of their fingertips - ha!
I like doing jigsaw puzzles BTW - Brian should have called me - I could have saved him some major freezer burn - LOL! Thanks for the enjoyable chapter - can't wait to see where you go with this (but it still frightens me, too....!).
Author's Response: Hint: Let's just say iut won't exactly be a evil laugh.... don t be scared, it s almost all over now...
Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: February 14, 2011 07:36 AM · On: The Hustling Hunter
You do have a very active imagination, don't you? LOL! I feel like I'm in a cross between the Twilight Zone, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Alice in Wonderland again with the rabbit hole! Loved the line about being pushier than a mother-in-law... I would love to get inside your head at night when you dream....is there any way to block you from reading any more of my stories until you're done - I'm really starting to worry about you now....! Great ride so far, even it if WAS on a reindeer!:)
Author's Response: thanx for commenting on the mother in law line...I really laughed hard at myself when that came into being... Thank for all your reviews , it gave me a real lift esp since no-one else seems to like. Been getting no reviews on either site for several chapters now
So this was a real lift.
Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: February 14, 2011 07:23 AM · On: Farewell to Spitzburghen
Well, that was quite an ending there! And all those snowmobiling lessons for nothing - LOL! Loved the bit with the frying pan and Mrs. Behr - you go, girl! The first part was a hoot - kind of reminded me of Dudley Do-Right and the Evil Banker tying the girl to the railroad tracks!
Author's Response: thank you for commentsing on the frying pan! I loved that part! When I heard it in my head the noise echoed! and it was ery Dudley Do-Right wasn't it? I also love writing bondage peril stories
Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: February 14, 2011 07:14 AM · On: Sweet Dreams
Well, that was actually sweet. I will try not to connect the dots between Stockwell and Prescott and charge you with plagiarism (or something like that, anyway - LOL!). I do enjoy the relationship you have going with Gus and Justin, BTW; as you know, I like to include that in a lot of my stories, also....now off to the next chapter! Oh - don't think I didn't catch the ongoing references to SW, either ("far, far away" and a "long, long, time ago?") As Ben Kenobi once said, "there's something familiar about...." Don't worry - I won't tell George Lucas!
Author's Response: awww well thank you! When I I read this review, I LOLed until I had tears! OMG, I totally did not mean the far far away etc to have anything to do with SW but you r right!!I just was thinking about it in the fairy tale sense. Altho I did recognise SW as being a sci fi fairy tale a while back...so maybe all that was brewing the old sub-con too! But I m not worried about Lucas, I was more concerned about the whole Stockwell/Rickert=Prescott thing and plus, i was trying to emulate ( only much less expertly) the nightmares and Post traumatic stress that came after the kidnapping. Just remember... flattery is the most sincere form of flattery ;)

What a take on "Beauty and the Beast!" - ha! And I never realized it, but you're right - the screeching coming from the trash compactor DOES bear (or should I say "Behr") an amazing resemblance to Mel's ranting and raving!
Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: February 14, 2011 06:55 AM · On: Stockwell and Rickert
I kept expecting Rapunzel to be up in the round tower where Justin and Gus decided to stay! I think after reading what is going on in your mind, we should all be scared....very scared - LOL!
Author's Response: nope...Jason was "Rapunzel" . Did you know, though when I was first planning this section, I was going to have Jason locked in a asecret (and clean) if that was possible, basement room. But as I got closer I though. God, that's going to be hard to rescue him from so I thought ah ha...the opposite and the tower was born!

Okay, my friend - I am finally (sheepishly) making an attempt to get caught up on reading this story (ducks under desk); sorry I haven't had a chance up until now to do that (I think it's called story writing overload - LOL!). I have to stop, though, and comment on this particular chapter. You have a, shall we say, eccentric sense of humor. This chapter's like a cross between Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland. I had to laugh at the comment by Mrs. Kemp that they just thought Jason "was especially happy." (Well, maybe he was in his own way..!). You have an amazing imagination - I don't know whether to be impressed, scared, or both - LOL! I will now continue on to see what else your warped brain came up with.....!
Author's Response: no need to duck at all.. why is this chapter like Harry potter? (Altrho any comparison to JK is a real honor) Thank you for your great comment...I like d Mrs. Kemp'as comment too

couldn't givethem one chapter of compete happiness could you.? i was thinking thatall's well now in their town and then something like this happens. how will they ever get to brian?
Author's Response: Complete happiness? Come on! Now where's the fun in that? Bwa Ha Ha! As for what's gonna happen, ndon't worry, leave that to me, I've gotten you this far right?
Otherwise, how are you enjoying the ride? Did you enjoy Sweet Dreams? How about the 3 Behrs storyline? Sorry bout that I just couldn't STOP! How about when they became Jason's "bodyguards" (I'm really proud of that scene myself. The white living room? Anything?

Goldie and the three Behrs!!! LOL. Hurry and let Justin rescue Jason before the big bad Stockwell does something bad.

Such a suspenseful chapter!!!
Reviewer: DavidR (Signed) · Date: January 01, 2011 04:55 AM · On: The Ravens
Terrific last couple of chapters. That was so clever having the
caretaker of the Endless Summer’s name to be Ian. Then – to top is
all, he uses a violin to mesmerize Justin.
In this last chapter Justin compares what it happening to the Twilight
Zone. No way – this is waaaay beyond the Twilight Zone.
I so enjoyed the way you have Gus and Justin “plop” or worse in the
snow by the North Wind. Real cute!
There is so much good to comment on, but just know that I think this
is a terrific story, and I so enjoy reading it.
Thanks again,
DavidR

this chapter aint boring
its great
i like the way you have kept all original names it makes it more fun
Author's Response: thank you very much, this is very uplifting to hear
Reviewer: DavidR (Signed) · Date: December 27, 2010 12:02 AM · On: The Journey Begins
Thank you for the story.
I know there is another chapter, but I just had to stop and say hello,
and tell you what a wonderful writing style you have. One sentence
flows into the next. One thought smoothly become another. This is
fun reading.
I can see that this is just not going to be a good story, but one of those
terrific stories. It looks like this is going to be a Justin and
Gus Excellent Adventure, trying to find and bring back Brian.
I know there is another chapter waiting for me to read, so without
anymore words, I am moving on to chapter 3.
Thanks again, this is going to be fun.
DavidR
Author's Response: Wow. Like WOW! Thank you so much for that. This is the kind of review I have been waiting for to see if I m boriung or repetitive or not descriptive enough. I know you guys are into a lot of introspection and angst and stuff but I can't do that. So it comes out in good old narrative, which I wasn't sure if anybody on here likes. (well as a majority anyway) I'm so glad you and others are enjoying it. And to everyone...I see you reading (wink) so leave a message!

Darn that Ian. His home may be beautiful and he may be lonely, but Justin and Gus are taken!!! Thank goodness Justin and Gus managed to snap out of it. Hopefully they don't get sidetracked again. Good job.

No complaints, burst of horror, or outrage. Plenty of comments though. At least there is hope that Brian will recover. He even scared me with his outburst at Gus. I'm glad that Justin is looking out for Gus, but what will his mothers say when they find out he and Justin are gone? How do they get to Brian? When do we get another chapter? Questions, questions and hopefully answers soon.
>
Author's Response: that WAS a scary scene, wasn't it? I even scared myself! One of the reasons I was expecting outrage etc was the idea to bring Gus along. I was so charmed with the idea i couldn t resist but another ratioinal part of me was screaming CHILD ENDANGERMENT! CHILD ENDANGERMENT! Fortunately, this story has nothing to do witrh rational thought! LOL
