I'm with Justin. Brian had been an ashole for too long to seemingly change overnight. I love the fact that Brian is making the effort, but like he said before, he had always felt love for Justin, he just didn't want to acknowledge it.

I laughed on every line of the date. It was humorous yet very insightful. You also cleverly included an attractive waiter reminiscent of Brian previous only date.
As the conversation and the wine flows, I watch with relief as the uptight, self-righteous twat he had become in recent weeks disappears, and the charming, focused, and flirty twat returns to me.
You described perfectly the Justin I saw in the last season with being uptight and self-righteous. That was not the Justin I knew and loved.
Nice job! I don't know how I missed this story.

The entire dating situation was dangerously close to causing me erectile dysfunction, but Justin was fucking worth it.
Very amusing! I can't rmember reading any stories that pick uo after the first marriage proposal refusal. Justin being hesitant to accept makes sense and that Brian has to go about convincing him, other than buying the mansion, makes for a very entertaining story.

I see that I reviewed this chapter before. I just read it twice again now. This was an exceptional chapter. Brian's assessment of Justin's apartment was hilarious and his thoughts about being on to him was very cleverly done. I can't believe I haven't read more of this.
I’d felt powerless against the Stepford fag mentality I so feared and loathed, until I realized his happiness was the key to mine.
I was fucked and in love.
It was time to negotiate our future.
LOVED those last three lines. It set an interesting tone for the rest of the story.

I just had a chance to read this; it's very good! I like this vulnerable, sweet side of Brian. He always took great pains to see that Justin was taken care of, but Justin was always yearning for a more sentimental, romantic side of Brian. This could have been canon after the bombing if things had gone differently. It did wake him up to what he might have lost. I love the bantering conversation between the two of them, also.
I will be looking forward to reading more of this story!:)
