So, I was re-watching season four of QaF and I hated Justin in it. I loved the fact he was there for Brian during cancer.

Honestly the whole plot when it was the whole Rage:The Movie/Connor James/L.A shit, I hated it. Justin was pretty douch-y towards Brian in that season. I noticed that while Justin was screwing Connor James, Brian was cutting down a lot and even when he was tricking...it was only for a blow job. And, while I understood Mikey couldn't go because of Ben having complications...I couldn't help but be extremely mad at Justin...I mean just because Brian was half-way on his way to full health from cancer...but, Brian hadn't even gotten the doctors clean bill of health...meaning he was still recovering, sure he had friends and family, but Mikey was worried about Mel being pregnant, Hunter, and Ben being in the hospital. Deb was mad at him. Ted and Emmett was busy. Brian didn't have anyone. 

My heart ached where we find out from Mikey and Brian's conversation that he was going to surprise Justin in LA and finally tell Justin that he loved him...then he says,"He's fucking movie stars." Then there is that damn scene where Connor is taking Justin up the ass..which made me mad at Justin even more...because unless I am wrong...didn't Brian and Justin when they got back together renew the rule that Justin's ass was Brian's only? If so, Justin again screwed Brian over. The other sad thing about that...Brian planning a trip to LA just to tell Justin that he loves him meant that Brian wanted a real monogamous with Justin...The reason I am mad about the Connor James thing..is because...whether people want to admit or not...Brian was almost to the point of wanting have a monogamous relationship with Justin, but then he found out by Justin telling him that he was screwing Connor James, so he decided not to hence why he cancelled the trip. It didn't help matters that when Justin came back he said he loved LA. 

It's also probably why he was so against Ben/Mikey lifestyle. 

I feel that the only reason Justin came back to the Pitts was because Connor didn't want him anymore. He didn't even think of Brian. Just like even though he told Daphne he kept thinking of Brian while with Ethan...the only reason he went back was because he found out Ethan cheated. For fucks sake, he bought Ethan's story about how the fan he fucked was just an admirer. Had that admirer not came to the Pitts to see Ethan..Justin would have stayed with him...When he was in the art department having that famous 'Have Some Balls' conversation...Brian says,"So you think just because your romance with Paganini Jr is over, you could come running back to me?" Justin doesn't say anything like no and then lists how he realized he was wrong about Ethan and how much Brian did for him. NO! He said,"Yeah, something like that!"

 

Sorry about the rant, I just recently re-watched it and it made me mad at Justin and feel sorry for Brian.

Whoa!  Now that is what I call a comment!  There is nothing I love better than hearing a variety of opinions on the storylines from QAF.  Sometimes I agree completely, sometimes on some of it, and sometimes not at all.  The one thing I love and respect is everyone's opinion no matter what.  I can certainly see where you are coming from with your thoughts on that period of time when Justin was in Hollywood.  There are a number of things about that time that I hated too.  I don't feel quite as harshly towards Justin, but that is because Brian pushed him away so many times despite the fact that he didn't want Justin to go out of his life.  Justin was so young and couldn't always read Brian's signals correctly, so I can understand some of the things he did as a result, including turning to Ethan.  If you remember, Justin was hoping Brian would tell him to drop the Fiddler and stay with him, but Brian simply said he wouldn't do that.  Justin saw that as a rejection rather than the giving of free will that Brian meant it as, thus Justin's decision.  Both men made many mistakes throughout their relationship and caused each other an equal amount of suffering for no good reason, but the love was always there under the surface.  That's what the fanfic writers are for...to keep that love alive for the couple forever.  And boy, do I love this job.  LOL!  Thank you so much for a fascinating read.  Huge hugs, Grammy
