Omg I was so scared my heart hurt so bad for Gus when he was crying. Brian and Justin handled the situation so well. I was so proud of Brian staying with Tricky at the Vets all night. My heart melted. Incredible work x

This story reminds me totally of summer with the kids and our wonderful boxer dog. Pets bring such joy, entertainment and unconditional love to family life, and this story brought those memories back so clearly. Wonderful:-)
Author's Response: I totally agree! Up until the past few years, I have always had dogs in my life, and I miss having one terribly right now. Hopefully again one day. They DO bring so much joy and pleasure into our lives. Thank you once more for reading in this 'verse, and for taking the time to comment! *Hugs* ~Kim

HAHAHAHA go Tricky, knocking up Sadie ;) I love this little universe you have created. You said you're working on another fic now?????? Sometimes we just need some fluffy, smutty cuteness to tide us all over :)
Author's Response: Hi. Sally! Yeah, that little devil - LOL! Well, what do you expect from a 'relative' of Brian's? :)
And yes, I am currently working on the sequel to this story, which continues right where this one left off.;) It covers not only whether or not they get a new addition to the family at Britin, but the boys' wedding, too.;)
Thanks for all your comments on this story! I love feedback, and it definitely motivates me. *Hugs* ~Kim

I really loved this last chapter. What with Brian running in the mornings with Tricky and Gus asking why he and Justin aren't married, it doesn't get any better. Those two have come a long way and Tricky has been a real treat. Now it looks like there will be some little Tricksters running around. Did you do a story about the wedding with Tricky as ring bearer? Love, love, loved this
Author's Response: Hi, my friend! No, I have not written that yet, but I DO intend on doing that.;) I have started it, but just barely. It will be coming up.;) I'm so glad you like our big baby (Tricky, I mean - ha!). BTW, at the risk of sounding like I'm pimping my own stories (I guess I am - LOL!), there is one more Tricky story that actually occurred before this one: "Fit to be Dyed," in case you might want to read some more about Tricky's continuing torment of Brian and haven't read that one yet.
Thank you for reading this story and for all the comments! I appreciate that more than you will ever know. *Hugs* ~Kim

That studio is scrumdelumptious. The pictures sure help one picture the look and Justin better be suitably grateful. Everything is hunky dory then a snake shows up and its Tricky to the rescue once again. Hopefully there is a vet close by. That dog deserves a reward!
Author's Response: Hi, my friend! Yeah, Lassie, uh, Tricky to the rescue! So glad you liked the photos; I could imagine Justin in that studio. Of course, there would have to be a bed (wink, wink). Thank you for reading this story! *Hugs* ~Kim

Awww. Brian can be so sweet at times. The dog on the raft - hillarious. I'll have you know that there is nothing in a dog biscuit that a human cannot eat. Just no sugar.

Are you sure about the plastic bucket. My dog always liked to eat plastic. That fall Brian had may have been funny, but he could have really hurt himself. What if it affects him at bedtime. : o Something funny is going on with Brian's 'new office'. Hopefully keeping it from Justin will be worth it.

Moooooo? That certainly was enough to kill the mood. Hopefully having the intercom off doesn't pose a problem.
Author's Response: Well, I imagine Tricky would be Gus's fervent protector, especially after the fire before.:) I used to have a dog with one of those rubber pork chops that would squeak like crazy! Wasn't interrupted doing this though - ha! Thanks for the comments! *Hugs* ~Kim

Poor Brian. Shame Justin didn't call him to warn him. Ruining that shirt was <snicker> just awful. Getting out of the pool was a bit of a problem. Maybe Brian needs to stash a spare pair in case of emergencies. Love the pics.

Author's Response: Hi, Saskya! Thank you for reading and for your comment.:) I'm delighted that you enjoyed this story. By the way, I don't know if you've already read them, but there are more stories about Tricky before this one.:) The first one is "Bless the Beasts and the Children," followed by "Framed for Christmas" and then "Fit to be Dyed." I will actually be writing another story soon about Tricky related to the boys' wedding. I hope you will enjoy that one, as well as some of the other stories about him if you haven't already read them.

Finally getting around to reading and commenting on the last chapter of this one.
First of all, you already know this since I've told you several times, but I LOVE the Tricky series. Brian with that dog is just too funny for words. And the real Brian shined through in this one. Imagine, Brian Kinney sleeping at the vet's office, IN the kennel with the dog. I never thought I'd see the day, but there he was.
Poor Brian!
And then the scene when they had to say goodbye to Tricky and Gus was heartbreaking. Both of them love that little boy (and his dog) so much. Brian never expected it to happen, but he fell in love with his son the minute he held him for the first time.
And then the proposal.....I loved it! Now you HAVE to write at least one more installment so we can see the wedding (although it would be hard to beat the one in The Wedding Present!). I can just see Tricky as a member of the wedding party....hint hint! And I have to see Brian interacting with the "new family member"!!!! LOL
Great job, Kimberly. I loved every word!!!!
Author's Response: Hi, Nita! I'm so happy to see your comments, my friend.:) Thank you for spending time with this story and for the feedback; I really appreciate that.:) I do love Tricky, and Brian has definitely warmed up to him now, too. You will be glad to know that I DO intend for him to make a return appearance at the wedding - I already have a ringbearer photo to go with him.:) Can you just see Tricky around champagne and a wedding cake? LOL! Can't wait to take advantage of that! And what if they decide to hold the wedding near the pool? Uh, oh - ha! It may be a while before I get around to a sequel, but there will, indeed, be one eventually. Maybe next spring?:)
Thanks again for reading and for your support, my friend. I'll continue to send my best wishes to you. *Hugs* ~Kim

Author's Response: Hello, Chandrika! Thank you for reading this story and for your comments, my friend. I'm very happy that you are enjoying it. I hope you will continue to read and enjoy some of my other stories, and yes, I definitely intend on Tricky returning for the boys' wedding. Author's Response: Hi, Jon - thank you for reading and taking the time to comment; that means a lot to me, Sweetie. I'm working right now on "Heart's Desire." I'm struggling a little with where I want to go in that chapter, but I've started on it and I'll keep plugging away until I'm happy with it. I know it's in dire need of an update. Where are you getting these adorable pictures!? They are just maing the story. Loving Brian's affection for Justin. I thought the yo-yo incident was very apt. After all...thhe yo-yo was originally designed....to be a weapon...did yu know? Hehe...
Author's Response: Ha! Well, I could just see Brian in my mind's eye not being particularly agile when it comes to playing with a yo-yo for some reason; something tells me that his parents weren't the kind to pay a lot of attention to him growing up with toys. Glad you're enjoying the story, my friend. Thank you for all the comments.:)

I'm sooooo sorry I haven t gotten around to this until it's all finished but you can count on 7 more reviews now that I have. LOVED the pictures and Tricky jumping in the pool.
Author's Response: Hi, Jon! 121 Reviews on your story - congrats! Richly deserved.:) And I'm waiting eagerly for the conclusion, even if you DID stretch it way out - ha! And that was very naughty of you to psyche us out in the beginning (but in an extremely clever, evil way, I must add....). I hope you enjoy this story. I thought the picture of the lab jumping in the pool was so like our Cujo, I had to include it. Thanks for reading and for the comments. *Hugs* ~Kim

I so loved this story. The fact that tricky is so in love with Brian makes me giggle, men have chased him for years and he always chose the ones he wanted, then this time Tricky chose him and refused the standard "not interested"by Brian Now we have another cute pup, Tricky's little one will he love Brian almost idolize him like Tricky or will the pup be fickle? More story's please, the humor and love between dog and master is delightful.
Author's Response: Hello, my friend - thank you so much for reading and for the lovely comments; that means a lot to me.:) I'm very happy that you liked Tricky's tales; I know he will return at least for the wedding.:) I'm still debating whether to torture Brian with another puppy - I'm leaning toward it, though, because I think I could create all sorts of havoc with two of them running around! Thanks again for taking the time to leave me feedback; as a writer that is so motivating to me to know that others enjoy what I write.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Yay. I hope they take the pup. Please do continue with this eventually. I just love the Tricky/Brian interaction. And of course I want to read all about the wedding. B/J definitely need Tricky's offspring. That will really add some excitement to the household at Britin.
Author's Response: Hello! Thank you for reading and for the feedback; I really appeciate that! I've become quite fond of Tricky myself! I'll think about a new addition to the family, but I don't want to take away from Tricky's charm or his torment of his favorite (adult) human. Thank you again for the encouragement; it is greatly appreciated.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

I'm beginning to realize that if I wait to get any rest before I review, it will never get done. I listened this before I left the house today and had to go back to listen to some of it again. It was a heartwarming to hear Gus talk about marriage to to Brian. Children do just as he did when it comes to their perception of relationships. I remember when my son asked me for a date, LOL.
"You can tell me why you were wearing that just now - and if you really meant what you said to me when we said goodbye,"
I was under the misimpression that Brian and Justin were already married in this story. I agree with Gus.
The scene with the rings was beautiful. It never made sense to me why they called off that wedding.
I think Brian is cuter than Gus with Tricky. Gus should be jealous.
I laughed out loud about the last part. Tricky junior, LOL.
This was the best chapter! You have to write a sequel.
Oh, loved the neighbor's name. :)
Author's Response: Hi, Sandra - thank you for the comments. You're so supportive of my stories and your feedback is always so thoughtful; thank you for both. I think maybe the misconception in them being married was with Gus deciding to call Justin "Poppa." I think that first came up in the Thanksgiving story (the first one in the series). I kind of liked the conversation between father and son myself about marriage.:) Call me a sentimental romantic, but I always loved the idea of them getting married, too.:)
I DO like the idea of Tricky coming back for the wedding; can you just imagine what sort of trouble he could get into at their ceremony? I can't pass up that opportunity! First, though, I have to work on getting "Heart's Desire" updated; I'm working on that one next. Hopefully everyone hasn't forgotten that one by now! Thanks again, my friend, for all your support and for the lovely comments; that means the world to me.:) *Hugs*

wonderful ending to a wonderfully cute and funny and sometimes sad story. we all loved it so much. Lee is chomping at the bit for you know what. ha!ha!! we are all fine. work has slowed a bit thank god, a litttle more normalcy is good. Nonie is doing much better. grief is very hard to lay to rest, but she is coping well. BB is off tonite out on a date i think. Lee and i are working but in between cases have been reading and having a gab fest. llol
Author's Response: Hi, Sweetheart! So glad to hear from you, and that things have slowed down somewhat. Please tell Nonie how sorry I am about her mother and that I will be thinking about her. And tell everyone that I said hello. I have started on "Heart's Desire" (at last!), but it will be a few days before I'm done. Tell Lee that I'm shooting for a nice, long update, though; one of these days I'll actually get to the election - ha! Thank you for your support and your enocuragement. I didn't get much of a response to this last chapter, which is kind of discouraging, but it makes those that DID review that much more special (even though I'm grateful for all my readers). People like you and the peeps, though, who review so regularly mean the world to me.:) Thank you again.
Oh, and I'm hoping they're able to successfully coordinate the next QAF con next June in Long Beach. Not sure how far that is from all of you, but wouldn't it be great to all meet somewhere? I would love that! Take care. *Hugs* ~Kim

Hey sweetie, sorry I missed the last couple of chapters! RL blows the big one right now.
So glad Tricky recovered. I love that dog. And also glad that Brian got his head out of his ass to properly get this marriage thing settled. Gus had his number; kids put things into such great perspective.
And OMG, yes, yes, puppies!! Oh, they have to get one! You know as soon as Justin and Gus find out, they will beat Brian into submission. They should get a little female puppy. And she would love Brian the most, just like her daddy!
Author's Response: Ha! Hi, Megan! So great to hear from you, my friend.:) I'm not sure whether to 'gift' Brian with a puppy or not. I could certainly see Justin falling all over one, but it's taken Brian so long to warm up to Tricky I'm not sure I could subject him to that again - ha! I'm open to a vote on it, though.:) I DO think it's only fitting that Tricky come back for the wedding in either case - I can see all SORTS of issues coming up during THAT wedding - LOL!
Thank you so much for reading this one and for all your support, Megan; it is greatly appreciated. And I hope RL gets a little smoother for you soon. *Hugs* ~Kim

I want to adopt one of Tricky's puppies of passion too, I'll take the biggest male in the litter. Tadhg would love a little brother. What a perfect ending to this wonderful story. I'm very sad that Tricky had to return to Canada, I can only hope he can find some time to do some moose hunting and have some adventure on the other side of the border. I hope he does come back for the wedding, Lori
Author's Response: Well, I have it on authority from Mrs. Cranston that Sadie had TEN puppies, so I'm sure there will be at least one left to be Tadhg's little brother.:) And with Tricky's size, I don't think getting a big one will be a problem - ha! Thank you for the wonderful story JP
Author's Response: Ha! Since gestation is only about 63 days (I believe), I think you're right.:) Not sure if Brian will agree to being a full-time dog owner, though, and I'm not sure if I want another dog to tread on Tricky's turf; I'll have to think about that one before my favorite pooch makes a return engagement. Author's Response: Hi, dear friend; sorry to hear things have been so hectic lately; I know how it is to have lots of homework, only I'm grading it instead! Hope things slow down for you soon, and you have more time to read and relax.:) Thank you for all your support and for your friendship. Whew! sighs of relief. Your administrations medically speaking-right on. good job. We are all dog lovers, so this was a happy chapter. We all knew deep down Brian loved that dog, now we all know for sure. Staying there over-night proved that. Just a big marshmellow inside all that baloney. Nonie home-looks really bad. She has been through Hell. She just needs rest before coming back to work. She said to thank you for your prayers and support. Lee will be moving into his new digs October 1st. It's a really nice, small apt, close to the hospital. He could walk if he wanted to. BB back. thank God. I don't like when the team is broken up. You really must read 50 Shades of Grey trilogy. So good. I had a hard time putting it down when I started. I guess they are going to make a movie out of it. I think it will need an x rating unless they tone down the sex as there is oodles of it. I loved it. If you read it let me know how you liked it. lol
Author's Response: Hi, my dear friend; thanks for reading and for the updates on the peeps. Tell Nonie I will be thinking about her and I hope she gets some much-deserved rest. Glad, too, that Brian's back home with the rest of the gang, and that Lee has found a place to stay. I wish nothing but the best for all of you this coming year. You all deserve some much-needed breaks and happiness for a change!
I will check out "Shades of Grey" and let you know - I can't see anyway that they could release a movie without an "X" rating, either! I will probably go ahead and post the next (and I think final) chapter of this story, but then tell Lee his favorite is up right after that. Tell everyone I said hello! Oh, and they're talking about a QAF con maybe next June 7 - 9 in Long Beach - keep your fingers crossed! *Hugs* ~Kim

This was the best chapter ever! I was totally captivated by the way Tricky was saved from crossing the rainbow bridge. I think you did a very heart stopping ER Vet visit, the only thing missing was signing the release forms and securing payment, but since Brian has plenty of $$ I know that wouldn't have been a problem. When the story began I did have a brief moment of worry, did the boys manage to get their clothes back on, all zipped and buttoned up enough for a quick dash to the vet, it would be tacky to show up with mismatched socks, or a shirt with no buttons, dripping with manly sweat and tousled hair but when it is a life or death situation I guess this is not a time for fashion worries. I hope the Vet just chalked it up to the hazards of toting a huge dog and a crying child. I will be sorry to see this story end, but I know a festive holiday is soon on it's way, I've been looking at Doggie costumes for Tadhg and I found some cute ones in his size. So Tricky could do some shopping too. Lori
Author's Response: Ha! I can't wait to see what you come up with for Taghg; you'll have to send me a photo.:) BTW - thanks for the email about the squirrel - soooo cute! Someone I know actually has a pet squirrel that she rescued a long time ago, so I will be sure to forward that to her.:)
I'm relieved that my treatment of Tricky at the vet passed muster with you; I know you would know if it wasn't proper, so that's a good sign.:) And fortunately the boys hadn't gotten too far in their christening of Justin's new studio bed, so they were fairly clothed when the crisis occurred - ha!
I think there should be one more chapter to this - although I've decided I'll need to do some rewrites to it - aargh! So who knows? But I think I probably see Tricky returning one day, maybe for Halloween?? Thanks for reading and for the comments, Lori!:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Everything was so beautiful, Kim! <3
My favorite line of course:
"Yappy Days Doggie Day Care, human pincushion speaking."
I wish I could come up with the quips and humor you do for Brian/Justin. I don't know how the hell you do it. I think on it for several hours and nothing comes to mind, yet I am a funny person and can tell a joke, yet whenever I need funny lines for them in a fic, nothing comes to mind.
~Nim*huggles*
Author's Response: Hi, Nim! Thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend; I hope you are continuing to mend from your injuries, Sweetheart.:) And thank you for the compliment; I know what you mean, though; sometimes it's hard to come up with them! The stories that I actually enjoyed writing the most with that sort of back-and-forth humor was either "Roughing It" or "Justin Taylor: Man in Tights." I really enjoyed the humor in those two. But it IS difficult sometimes when you get a mental block!
Thanks again for reading - I have one more chapter to go (I think!) before we bid Tricky adieu, at least temporarily. I should have that posted very shortly. Take care and don't overdo! *Hugs* ~Kim

Hey Kim…thanks for the update. Sorry I haven’t been around to review the other stories, my mother has been sick in the hospital and I have not been able to be on the computer too much. But I was glad to see the update and can’t wait for the next one as well as your other stories. Poor Tricky, you made me cry…I know he will be fine and I can’t wait to see how Brian reacts to him now. Good chapter.
Love this story, they are all so sweet in it. Take care and can’t wait for the next updates.
Susie
Author's Response: Hi, Susie - first of all, I'm SO sorry to hear about your mother, my friend; I do hope she recovers soon. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for taking the time to read and to review this story. Don't worry - I'll make sure that Tricky comes out okay before I'm done.:) Not sure about Brian, though - ha! I should have one more chapter to this before this latest Tricky adventure is all wrapped up (although I suspect Tricky will make a lasting impression in a way he doesn't realize at the moment....hmm....).
I should have the next part posted very shortly since I want to finish this one before moving onto "Heart's Desire." Thanks again, Susie; I'll be thinking of and your mother and hope to hear from you again when you have the time. *Hugs* ~Kim

heartwarming chapter - nicely done - and Brian staying with 'Cujo' was a great touch - I love the evidence you subtly weave through this story of how much Brian has changed and grown
loving life,
Charle
Author's Response: Hi, Charle - what a nice compliment! Thank you for that and for reading this latest Tricky adventure.:) I should have one more installment to go before I wrap this latest episode up for Tricky. That will leave me with only 3 WIPs which should be much more manageable in getting them updated faster.
The next part should be up soon. Thanks again for all your support, my friend. *Hugs* ~Kim

How do you do that??? With every single chapter of every story you write, you make me love Brian Kinney even more!
Poor Tricky! So glad he was there to save our boy. And Brian finally has to admit how much he cares about the big, lumbering, long-haired beast! LOL This is the second time he's saved the life of someone Brian loves, so he needs to start treating him better! LOL
And, just like always, I adored the scenes between Justin and Gus. He is a natural father. Of course we already knew that. He's been raising Brian for years! LOL
Great chapter, Kim. Loved every word of it.
Nita
Author's Response: Hi, Nita! What wonderful comments; thank you so much for reading and for the feedback! I feel like Tricky's a part of the family now, too:) I have one more chapter to go in this installment of Tricky's adventures; so glad that you've been enjoying it. I should have the next part up very soon. Thanks again, Nita. *Hugs* ~Kim

Finally getting around to reading this. Sorry it took me so long.
I knew it! I knew Brian would never build an office for himself on the spot where Justin's studio had been, Maybe he would have in the beginning, but not now that they have been through so much and he loves him the way he does.
Amazing space too!
Loved the doggy poop joke, and the scenes between Brian and Tricky were funny as always. Also loved Deb's reaction.
And the way you ended it,,..just wow! I hope they get Tricky some help soon. Not only will Gus be devastated if anything happens to him, but I suspect Brian would be as well, even though he'd never EVER admit it.
Another great chapter!
Nita
Author's Response: Hi, Nita, my friend; so great to hear your thoughts as always. Thank you for reading and for the comments; I appreciate that very much. Don't worry - I won't let anything permanent happy to the newest member of the family.:) I'm working on the next part of "Parent Trap" but should have this updated again very soon - it will probably be one, maybe two more chapters. Thank you again for all the support you give me.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Great chapter Kim, Love what Brian did for Justin...and poor Tricky, I know he will be ok tho, you could not be mean and kill him off...I know you wouldn't. Love all your stories Kim they keep my stress level down in my over stressed life. Take care!
Author's Response: Hi, Susie - Thank you for reading, my friend, and for the comments! And yes, I will be sure to take good care of them before the story is over.:) I am so glad that you are enjoying my stories, Susie! That makes me very happy.:) Thank you for letting me know. OH NO!! Poor Tricky! They need to get him to an animal hospital now! Poor Gus is going to be traumitized if anything happens to him (but I know you won't let that happen!), but he should know better than to go near snakes. But he is a little boy. Ugh, I hate snakes. *shudders*
Justin's studio is gorgeous!
Author's Response: Hi, Megan - me, too. I know some people like snakes, but not me! I could definitely see a fascination with them, though, for little boys.:) Don't worry - they'll all come through okay eventually.:) There will probably be one more chapter to this before it's all said and done. Thanks so much for all your support, Megan! I am very grateful for that. And now it's back to the twin girls and some major reconcilation efforts. *Hugs* ~Kim

NOOOO, I'm hoping Tricky is scared to death of snakes and fainted. I'm sure he's a huge drama queen and the sight of such a slithery beast was too much for him. If the unthinkable happened and he did get a nasty bite I hope they rush him to a well stocked vet clinic and he can be given anti venom. Good thing Brian has a boat load of money because a dog Tricky size if going to need a lot of anti venom. I'm afraid that since he did so poorly in obedience school he probably won't do much better in the classes to teach dog to stay away from snakes, I'm not joking, they have special training classes just for this and in most case are very successful. What a wonderful chapter, I was a nervous wreck the whole way thru, just waiting for the tragedy to strike. I was afraid Tricky was going to be nearly decapitated in a SUV roll over. I was picturing his fuzzy yellow head being shoved thru broken glass, hurled around the being broken and in need of major surgery to repair horrible lacerations, internal injuries. Then he made it there and back, so next I'm thinking Gus might become a little less floaty and nearly drown in the pool, his lips turning blue, arms flailing bobbing up and down in panic. The boys locked in a passionate pile of arms and legs in that wonderful new studio and only Tricky to save him. I sure hope that poisonous rattle snakes don't live in Virginia, I'm going to hope and pray for the fainting dog act. I just might have to bake a turkey just to get a wish bone so I can get another wish, I would like a super fast update so I can rest easy knowing that Tricky is alright. Lori
Author's Response: Lori, you crack me up with these comments! OMG - sooooo funny! I needed that this weekend - it's been a rather stressful time over on my LJ (I won't go into details here...). Let's just say that I desperately needed your humor, so I thank you very much. I did toy with a pool incident with Gus - probably everyone was thinking that was going to happen - but please keep in mind that I said 'no character deaths' and that includes canine as well as human.:) I see probably one more chapter to this one. Thanks so much for the comments! I really appreciate that.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Author's Response: Hi, dear friend (and peeps!). So wonderful to hear from you.:) Thanks for the well wishes; I leave early tomorrow morning. Looking forward to the show on Monday night. "Why are you angry at me?"
It shows just how much Brian is in love to endure Justin's anger and disapointment for as long as he has. The same can be said of dealling with Tricky for the sake of keeping Gus happy.
Loved the yo-yo trick and I can't wait to read about the unveiling of Brian'a surprise.
Author's Response: Hi, my friend! Well, I couldn't think of a more appropriate yo-yo trick than "Walk the Dog" - LOL! Poor Brian just turns into a total klutz around Tricky - but I think you're right that in this story he has - dare I say it? - mellowed for the sake of both his son and his partner.:) Thanks so much for reading and for the comments, my friend. I'm working on the next part and should it up very shortly. *Hugs* ~Kim

I love this story. I have two labs and they are just as funny as Tricky. The picture is precious. Mine would live in the water if I let them. I just started reading stories here as I have a broken leg and have to spend a great deal of time sitting with it propped up on pillows. A friend of mine told me to read YOU as I was very disappointed when my favorite show QAF went kaput. I didn't know this site existed, but am damn glad it does. I had many scenarios as to where it went after Justin went of to New York on his most wonderful adventure. I was informed you were the best so make sure I started with all your stories first. My goodness, I must say you have a plethora of them. I now know what I will be doing for a few weeks. adieu.
Author's Response: Hi, Sierra! First of all, please thank your friend for the referral and for the wonderful compliments; I am very honored as well as humbled by them. I'm so glad you're enjoying this story! I have had two black lab mixes before, and dog sit for another one, so I am very familiar with their sweet, goofy sort of nature. What wonderful dogs they are and so lovable! My last dog also loved the water - didn't matter where it was - she always made a bee line for it, so I know what you mean.
And yes, there are a lot of my stories on here - LOL! I didn't even know about this show until after it went off the air, and then started writing in 2009 and joined MW in late 2010. I love to write about them in all different types of situations, from romance to humor to angst. I do hope you enjoy reading them, but I'm sorry about your leg! That will just give you an excuse to rest up and enjoy some storytelling, though.:) I'm so glad that you found this site - it's great!
If I can suggest, and since you like this story, this is actually the fourth one featuring Tricky. The first one is "Bless the Beasts and the Children," then "Framed for Christmas" and "Fit to be Dyed." So I hope you'll check those out and enjoy Tricky's adventures in those as well.
Please thank your friend again for the recommendation and tell him/her how much I appreciate it! And thank YOU for reading and taking the time to leave me feedback; that is always so motivating to me and is so encouraging. Hope to hear from you again sometime.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

This chapter was such a romp! Brian and the cheap toilet paper - so funny. I loved that Justin stocked Cap'n Crunch, another reason to look forward to Gus's visits. Brian is so not in charge here....
Author's Response: Hi, my friend! You are absolutely right; in fact, I would say he comes in last at the moment where 'authority' is concerned.:P) But for all his protestations, deep down I don't think he minds...
Of course, the 'cost-cutter' brand of toilet paper would never touch HIS wondrous behind - ha! But I could see him doing that for guests (unwelcome ones, anyway...). And when I saw the photo of the lab on the raft, I couldn't resist - it had Tricky written all over it! So glad that you're enjoying the story! Thank you very much for reading and for the comments, as well as for your ongoing support.:) I will be updating this again very shortly - have maybe two more chapters to go. Thanks again. *Hugs* ~Kim

I'm so happy Tricky was able to relax in the good pool and use the floaty raft. Just because he has webbed feet doesn't mean he has to use them all the time. I nearly died laughing over the thought of sending Tricky to be a substitute teacher at the seeing eye dog school. I think Tricky would need to be partnered with a very bold and brave individual. Not a 90 year old woman with fragile bones. Lori
Author's Response: Ha! Yeah....older woman with osteoporosis and a rambunctious, rebellious, 150-lb. dog = recipe for disaster! I remember the first black lab mix I wound up with - didn't even know about labs having webbed feet until someone pointed it out to me, but I know the second one I had was like a water magnet - first 'body of water' she found, unfortunately, was a stinky, smelly ditch. She would walk into creeks, though, and just sit down in the middle of the water. She LOVED the water...I still miss her terribly!
Thank you for the comments, Lori.:) I'll get the rest of this posted very soon - I'm in the midst at the moment of such good old Kentucky bluegrass first.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Oh my god! This chapter so funny and the picture is so adorable. Poor Tricky, he's just a baby having a blast. We all are enjoying this one. We had a bar-b-que here a few toddies and some good conversation. BB has turned out to be quite the hottie at the hospital. He has a few admirers. He says no, but I have eyes and see quite well. So cute. Am loving watching this unfold. Lee is doing good, still having interviews. I t is a process here as well. Talk to this one and that one and that one. I don't get it-with his exerience he should be a shoe in. Keeping my fingers crossed. He i getting a little stressed and I don't want that. You must be getting ready to go see Randy aren't you? I forgot what the date was. I am finally sleeping-don't know what that was all about. Everone says hi. lol
Author's Response: Hi, my friends! So glad that you're enjoying Tricky's latest adventure. I think he's making himself at home at Britin. Another reveiwer said Justin should have suggested they rename the place "Bricky" now - ha! I told her I wish I had thought of that one and I would have included it. They'll probably be a couple more chapters of this before his latest tale (or should I say "tail" - ha!) is wrapped up. Tell Lee I wish him luck in getting a job there. They'd be crazy not to hire him! I really think you, Brian and Nonie are the best possible tonic he could have right now - a few drinks couldn't hurt, though, too - LOL!
Let me know what happens. And yes, I go to see Randy in "Silence: The Musical" next Friday the 3rd (and Sunday afternoon the 5th, but pretend you didn't see that - ha!). Not sure if I will get the chance to talk to him this time, though, with it being in NYC. Would LOVE to get him to sign one of their posters, though! So far I have a signed poster of "Tommy" and "Red." Would love to add to my collection, but not counting on it. I'll still pick up a copy of it, though...And then I go on 8/20 to see him in QWAN at the Berkshires - really looking forward both events, especially when he gets to sing. I'll let you know how it goes. In the meantime, I'm working hard on getting "Stallion" updated and hopefully Lee's favorite before I leave next Friday. Take care and thank you as always for all the support. You are all very dear to me.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Aw! Such sweet moments between Brian and Justin! I loved, absolutely loved that picture of Tricky on the pool floatie. That was adorable! Great work once again!
Author's Response: Hi, Stephanie! Yes, that Tricky is one laid-back pooch, isn't he? At least when he isn't attacking Brian.:) I should be wrapping this one up probably in a couple more chapters. I love how Brian has matured and embraced his relationship with Justin. If he knows his Sunshine is upset, he no longer mocks him or throws him off the cliff, he does whatever he can to make him feel better (even if that means telling a lie so he can keep his secret a secret).
Well Tricky sure knows how to make himself at home, doesn't he? From tearing up the Charmin (I don't like the cheap crap either, Tricky) to lounging on the inflatable chaise, he's claiming Britin as his! Next he'll be demanding Justin leave and the place be renamed Bricky! LOL couldn't resist!
Can't wait for the truth to be revealed. Loving this one just like all your stories. Can never get enough of the Tricky series!
Nita
Author's Response: OMG, Nita! Now you have ME cracking up with that "Bricky" comment! I so wish I had thought of that, and I would have had Justin make up a sign or something - that is HYSTERICAL! Rats! Wish I had thought that up myself.:) So glad you like this story. There should be maybe two (?) more chapters to this one before it's all said and done. Shouldn't take too long to update it again, but I am going back to "Stallion" now to get that much-neglected story updated first. I caught up with the last two chapters and laughed through them! Poor Brian; first Tricky's a cockblocker and then he's having canine booty calls! I hope Tricky's fixed or I can see the neighbors in a few weeks knocking on their door all "look what your dog did to ours!" That would drive Brian over the edge!
Justin's not the only one who can't wait to see when the construction's finished!
Author's Response: Hi, Megan! "Canine booty calls" - LOVED it - ha! How did things go at the Antiques Roadshow? Did you have something that was worth thousands and thousands? Lol! This chapter was amusing with Tricky and Sadie and poor Brian when he fell! Looking forward to the next installment!
Author's Response: Hi, Stephanie! I wish! The best we came up with at the Roadshow was a photo album of prints that might be worth $500 on a good day. It was a lot of fun, though, seeing what everyone brought in. Someone apparently had a Confederate rifle from KY that was worth $30,000! Must be nice. Tricky....did you have safe sex with that bitch from next door? Are you aware there are doggie STD's out there? One in particular is a worry to the boys, Brucella canis. I just want to warn you not to hook up unless you see written proof from a DVM that your random hook up has been tested within 10 days and is negative. Unless you decided to go with Artificial insemination, that is very safe for you, and maybe even just as much fun...The collection process can be a riot. I used to work with a reproduction vet, you probably wouldn't even want to know how many dogs I have collected from.
I loved this chapter, I hope Brian thinks about taking some ballet classes to improve his balance he might be able to dodge Tricky and that might help improve their relationship. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori - these comments of yours are priceless! BTW - thanks for not pointing out my faux pas regarding separating two dogs 'going at it' and that it could be dangerous to the male. Someone else pointed that out to me on another site and I was not aware of that (oops...). Anyway, I'm almost tempted to give Tricky an STD just like Brian had so they could 'bond,' but I guess I'll let the pooch be. Maybe if you don't mind and I can fit it in, I might have Justin do some research on that topic - ha! Do they have doggie condoms, too? Oh, I could see a lot of possibilities with THAT angle!
Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment, Lori. Sometimes I doubt myself when reviews are minimal for a chapter and it's encouragement such as yours that makes me keep going. Thank you for that. *Hugs* ~Kim

Tricky, I know just how a dog can form an bond with a toy. Tadhg has a similar situation going on with an Owl right now. It was a birthday gift he got to make mandagrammy jealous. He guards it to make sure she doesn't sneak off with it. I nearly died laughing when Justin thought he was a swiffer mop. I once found a Shih Tzu in a ditch and the owner couldn't be found so I kept him and named him Swiffer, hey he was a dust mop of a dog. After having him for a day I'm pretty sure I know why he ended up in a ditch, next to impossible to house train but he turned out to be a good small sized floppy dog. For me a "real" dog has to be BIG, like over 100#. Oh, remember to throw away that hambone. I don't want Tricky to get an obstruction. The surgery is very messy and the smell is horrible. I can send you an email about a hambone surgery on a beagle named Sammy. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori! You must have a big heart to adopt lost and troubled pooches.:) The last dog I had for almost 13 years was a stray, too, and she was one of the sweetest dogs I could have ever had - I still miss her terribly. I'll make sure that Tricky doesn't get into trouble with his hambone.:) So funny that you would have named your dog "Swiffer." I kind of like that idea, actually! There's one type of dog I always see on the dog shows that looks just LIKE a mop to me, but I can't remember the name right now.:)
Thanks for much for reading and for your comments, Lori.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Good lord woman you are very prolific today. This chapter was so good, funny and enlightening. Read it to Lee and Nonie-they really enjoyed it .. Trickey is the best. These things with dogs really happen for sure especially when they are giant size and not too subtle. We loved it. Back to work tomorrow-seems like i've been gone forever. lol
Author's Response: That's me - just call me the 'cranker' - ha! I actually had this chapter already written - just had to look it over first, so maybe that doesn't count.:) I have most of the next part written, too, but I think it's incomplete. AND I have about 8,000 words of the second part of "Parent Trap," too - ack! Better get it out now before I go back to teaching in about a month. Tell Lee, Nonie, and Brian I said hello and tell Lee good luck with finding a job and that I'll be thinking of him this week (all of you, actually!). Big *Hugs* to all of you.:) ~Kim

LOL you got me laughing again! Tricky is somethng else!
OUCH, Brian! Like Gus said, you need to be more careful and stop spilling water! LOL Too funny!
Double sink and counter. Uh huh. Grinning big here. Justin will be too when he finds out the truth. All will be forgiven, Brian will be the hero again, and Justin will be showing his gratitude! LOL
BTW: Something tells me Brian might have several more little beasts soon that he'll be looking for homes for! LOL Bad Tricky!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Well, like father, like son....ur, dog, that is - ha! Looks like they're both little scamps, aren't they? Must be something in the water - LOL! So glad you're enjoying it, Nita! Thanks for the comments! I'll be updating this one again very shortly. Got most of the next chapter written and it's going to be only a few more chapters. Brian can only take so much.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

* sitting here wit ha very big smile * it's so much fun to read.
Kim sorry but, I it's way too expensive to come to NY, for a few days. My girls are on vacation with their dad from July 30 till August 4. That's the time I could go, but I don't. Hope to see a very long report from you and lots of pics.
* hugs *
Author's Response: Hi, Marny....Sigh....was hoping when you mentioned the possibility earlier that you might come, but I certainly understand after how expensive it was for me to fly to Germany! It was a thought - perhaps some other time.:) So glad, though, that you're enjoying the latest Tricky story. I should have the next part up later today. Thanks as always for your comments and for reading, my friend. *Hugs* ~Kim

WELL THE BATTERED ONE IS HERE IN SUNNY CA. NICE HERE NOT SO HEAT OPPRESSIVE AS FLA. I'M DOWN BUT NOT DEFEATED. DONE IT ONCE CAN DO IT AGAIN. RIGHT? STAYIG WITH NONIE AND LINDC AT NONIE'S. LINDC WILL BE MOVING INTO HER NEW PLACE SOON AND WILL STAY WITH HER TIL I'M A LITTLE MORE COMFORTABLE. I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS AND BEST WISHES. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. YOU ARE LIKE A PART OF MY FAMILY-AN HONORARY PEEP. THE DEDICATION WAS NICE TO SEE. THANKS FOR THAT. IT LIFTS THE SPIRIT. ENOUGH ABOUT ME--THIS STORY IS THE BEST. I HAVE LAUGHED AND LAUGHED OVER THIS DOG AND BRIAN. SO FUNNY. I THINK WE ALL NEED TO LAUGH MORE-THE ALTERNATIVE SUCKS. I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE THE FRENDS I HAVE EVEN IF I HAVE BEEN A BIT HARD TO DEAL WITH LATELY. LOTS OF LUV 2 .
Author's Response: Hi, Sweetheart! When I received notification that I had a new review for this story, I was hoping it might be from you! I'm so happy to hear from you and to know that you are safely in California with your friends now. I am SO very sorry to hear about your engagement as well as the death of your uncle, Lee, but I am very relieved to know you are fighting back, my friend. And you will be JUST FINE. No, you will not be back to your normal self in no time - that is not realistic or expected. And I'm sure you will never forget your uncle just like none of us will ever forget our loved ones. But you WILL persevere because, my dear friend, you are a fighter and you have a lot of great experiences ahead of you! And somewhere out there is a special someone who will be perfect for you. You will know it when the time comes, and I think you will do great out there in sunny California. You'll have to get the "lucky devil" out there to transport your surf board around, though - ha!
In the meantime, your friends will continue to be there to support you and I will do my best to entertain you!:) You and the other 'peeps' have given me far more than I could ever give all of you, and to be considered an "honorary" peep is, indeed, just that: a great honor. So glad to hear from you! Please keep in touch and I will do my best to make sure that Tricky keeps you entertained in the meantime. I'm sending my love and a big hug to you.:) ~Kim

What a chapter-laughed my butt off. Love Trickey and all the grief he gives Brian. Wonderful chapter. Such a break from all the angst from the others. This is a summer feast. I really neede a cute laughable story at this time. Just what the doctor ordered. I finally got some sleep. My own bed is the cure, I guess. I have some time for myself as BB has taken Lee on a tour of the hospital and to introduce him to some people who will be instrumental in finding him some work there. He is going to stay with Nonie and I till I move. I can't remember if I told you I found a place to live. My mind is mush lately-the brain too full of to do lists. I will be able to move mid August as some things have to be done before moving in. I don't want to have to do anything once i get in there. Now I have to work and build up my sagging bank account. It was worth all these plane tickets as I think he has shown a remarkable improvement. Ah! the young. I'm sure he will read here soon and say hi. lol
Author's Response: Hi, lindc! Finally some promising news.:) I'm so glad to hear that Lee is doing somewhat better. I'm sure just being with you, Brian, and Nonie will be such a big help and a comfort to him. He is so lucky in that regard to have such good friends. I'm glad you persuaded him to come back out to California with you. And congrats on the new place - that's great!! Tell Lee I am thinking of him and to hang in there. I know things will get better for him - it just HAS to!
So glad you're enjoying Tricky's story. I, too, think I needed a break from the angst, so I decided to go ahead and start posting this one. I should have the next chapter up either today or tomorrow. Won't be a very long one, but maybe 3 or 4 more chapters? Thanks so much for the kind words, lindc, and for all your support. Tell Lee, Brian and Nonie that I'm sending all of you my love and best wishes. *Hugs* ~Kim

Loving that Trickey. What a hoot. Brian has met his match. Such a good laugh. Had to read this chapter twice. Brian must learn when it comes to kids and pups they always win. Such a good read. MOOOOOOOO! indeed. Hee hee!
Author's Response: Aww....thank you, Kym! So happy that you're enjoying our big galut (Tricky, I mean, not Brian...ha!). Wait until you see what he's gotten "into" in the next chapter (wink, wink...). I do love labs, especially those that are still in the puppy stage. I just think I might make Tricky one of those perpetual puppies - I'm sure Brian would LOVE that!! Forgive me, BTW, for not remembering, but I'm sure you're probably aware that this is the fourth story with Tricky. If not, he's featured in three other ones before this story, so Brian has been extremely tormented by now! Just thought I would mention that just in case you were not aware of them.:)
Thank you for reading along and for the comments, Kym! That is what keeps me motivated to write, so I appreciate that very much. I should have Ch. 3 up later today - going to "Antiques Roadshow" filming downtown this morning - we were one of the lucky ones to get tickets for appraisals! I'm sure I have something worth thousands....NOT! LOL! Thanks again. *Hugs* ~Kim

This story is wonderful. The humor is great, I have to keep stopping because I am laughing so hard. Hopefully they will be able to have sex and actually finish before Brian blows a gasket.
Author's Response: Hi, Lorie! Now what would be the fun in that? LOL! I hate to disappoint Brian, but I'm not done tormenting him yet - or rather Tricky, anyway. He's just a big, rambunctious pooch who just wants to have fun (Cyndy Lauper is channeling through him - ha!). Wait until you see what 'fun' he gets into in the next chapter - he's taking a lesson directly from Brian in that one.:) I should have the next part up tomorrow. So glad that you're enjoying it! That makes me happy to hear that. Thanks so much for reading and for your comments. I am very grateful to you, Lorie.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Author's Response: Hi, Stephanie - thank you for reading the next part of Tricky's adventures. I'm very happy that you enjoyed it.:) I'm sure he will find further ways to keep Brian on his toes before the month is out! Thanks again for taking the time to review - I am very grateful. I'll have the next part up probably tomorrow. My mother and I have tickets to "Antiques Roadshow" Saturday downtown, and we're allowed to take four items tomorrow for appraisal. Author's Response: Hi, Charle! I do enjoy tormenting the poor man.:) So glad you're enjoying the adventure.:) Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend. Poor Brian! He just can't win for losing when Tricky is around. Either he's being knocked around when Tricky "hugs" him, or he's unable to partake in his favorite activity! LOL
Great chapter. Loved it!
Author's Response: Hi, dear friend! So glad you liked it - it was very moooooving, wasn't it? Ha! The dog I sit for actually has one like that and he loves it, also! Thanks for reading and for the comments, Sweetheart. I should have the next chapter up tomorrow.:) *Hugs* ~Kim

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and for the comments! I feel like Tricky is a member of the family now, just like Fin and Tony in "My Heart's Desire." Maybe I should get them all together - LOL!

BTW, can I PM you? Wanted to ask you something.
Author's Response: Hi, Megan! Glad you're enjoying Tricky's return! I love labs, too - have had two mixes before and I dog sit for another. They are such sweet dogs (no matter WHAT Brian says!). This is a precious story. I really needed a laugh right now. So funny. Poor Brian-what a riot. Jus is getting a kick out of the goings on. Gus is quite the munchkin too. Well, am in the lovely state of Florida-not. Hot and sticky. I have to get back to work by Monday. BB needs me there. I have been torn as the next step with Lee. God bless his mom she has a lot of faith in me. She says he is better with us than by himself here. So he is packing up his stuff and leaving with me. He will put his furniture etc. in storage for now and fly back with me. His friend at the hospital will take care of his truck while he is there. I have talked to BB and he is looking into work for him. Lee wants to start over as he is tired of everything. He says his life is not how he wants it to be. I'm going to have him see a counsellor as we have a nice guy there who is very good with younger people. Wish us luck-lord knows we will need some. Off to bed need some rest. lol
Author's Response: Hi, lindc! I was thinking about you and Lee. I'm glad that you've persuaded him to come back with you. Please tell him that I will be thinking about him and wishing the very best for him - he deserves it so much as do you.:) And I think that counseling would be good for him and help him to make a fresh start with his life. He has so much to give and so much ahead of him. I'm sure that his life will be full of wondrous events, memories, and people in his life. He just has to hold on until things change and I know they will. Please have a safe trip back and tell him that I'm sending him my love and a big hug (to both of you).
BTW - I will have Ch. 2 up tomorrow if you get a chance to read it and need another laugh - Tricky is still up to no good, but Brian just does that to him! Take care and please get some rest! I know that you, Nonie and Brian will be the best tonic for Lee! *Hugs* ~Kim

Just a little rebuttle. You have a very nice site over there. I guess you are really obsessed. It seems you have seen him countless times. By now I'm sure he knows who you are. Die hard fans are just that. Without them what would these people do. You must leave notes here or there after your attendance. Actually I have read some reviews on Silence somewhere on line. Do you have to travel far to see these two events? Have a good time and be safe.
Author's Response: Thanks, Kym! I glad you like it.:) I didn't make the actual journal layout - it was "ForeverBM" over in one of the graphics communities, but I do love it just the same. And yes, I do have to travel (unfortunately). In live in Ohio, so usually I fly to see his plays, although last March I got to drive for a change when he performed in Cleveland. I have been extremely lucky meeting him - it is amazing, though, how helpful the theater people will be when you explain what a big fan you are of his work and how far you've come to see him. I actually got my "Tommy" poster from Mass. signed by him when I saw him in "Habit of Art" in Washington, D.C. I usually meet up with other Randy fans from LJ when I go, and so far I have met some wonderful people that way! In fact, I met one of the other authors on here last February in New Jersey, and we are going to see both plays together this August, so it's a lot of fun.
I have never really left him a note - but I do give him something in appreciation from time to time, like an art book when I saw him in "Red." And this time I'd like to give him a Shutterfly book that I had made up on photos I had taken of the cast during the con in June - hope I get the chance. I thought he might appreciate that. With it being in NYC, that will probably be a lot more difficult, but I read this theater only has 166 (?) seats, so keep your fingers crossed! Thanks for taking a peek at my LJ and for the comments! *Hugs* Kim

Such a cute story. Trickey is going to be the death of Brian. He has to know that's how puppies, large or small, are. I some how think they will become friends much to Brian's disdain. He is a big friendly boy. The pictures are adorable. Really am loving this one. A nice "paws" for the cause, Ha! before we resume the others. Hoping maybe parent trap or the oys on the farm will be next. One of my girl friends lives in New York and said Randy is in a play there next month I think she said.
Author's Response: Hi, Kym! Yes, first of all, Randy IS in TWO plays next month and yes, "Ms. Obsessed" here is going to see both of them.. He's in a one-time 'reading' of QWAN on August 20 in Massachusetts, and just started last night in "Silence: The Musical," an off-Broadway production based on the movie "Silence of the Lambs" in NYC. I understand he sings in that one (yay!) and wears lamb ears at some point - he plays a doctor, too. Now THIS I have to see - LOL! I'll be attending it on August 3. Can't wait! I actually have a lot of reviews of his plays that I've seen on my LJ page under the same name if you ever want to check them out, along with a lot of con photos that I took in June.
Anyway, I digress! Thanks very much for reading and for the comments! Just wait until you see what Tricky is up to in the next chapter...it will be quite a 'moooooving' experience (that's all I'm saying - ha!). Ch. 2 should be up tomorrow.
And yes, I am actually working on the next part right now of 'Parent Trap.' I will add one more chapter to that one before I move onto "Tame the Wild Stallion," so I'm glad to hear you're waiting to read them. Thank you for all your support, my friend; I really do appreciate that. *Hugs* ~Kim

OMG Poor Brian! I can't blame him. I think I'd be ready to take the mutt to doggy detention too! LOL
So glad you wrote another Tricky story. I love Tricky and Brian together!
And Justin is silly. If he'd stop and think about it, he'd know there is no way Brian would ever take the space where Justin's studio was and build an office for himself. Something tells me, Justin is about to get a state of the art studio out there. THAT'S why Brian won't let him see it!
Author's Response: Ha! Now, now, Nita, give the dog a chance to redeem himself - LOL! Brian may just warm up to him yet - although, this has been going on since last Thanksgiving, hasn't it? There's always Halloween - I shudder to even think about that one - ha! So glad you're enjoying it, my friend; thanks for reading and for the comments. I should have Ch. 2 up tomorrow.:) *Hugs* ~Kim
P.S. I lift my right paw, um....hand and swear that the space really IS an office or a really big doghouse....must run now - ha!

Yay! You have me laughing so hard with this! I've missed the adventures of Tricky and Brian so much! Too funny! That dog is hysterical! And Brian's reaction to him is right on the mark! You really do make these adventures hysterical! Loved him jumping in the pool and Brian swallowing water instead of what he'd like to be swallowing.
I hope you have a bunch of chapters with this. Can't wait to be entertained again!
Author's Response: Ha! Hi, Karla! I wish I had thought to mention that part about the 'swallowing' - LOL! So glad you're a fan of Tricky's. And yes, so far I have four chapters to this, but I'll be posting them one at a time. I have the other WIPs I need to work on, too, and don't want to ignore them. In fact, I should have the next chapter of "Parent Trap" up very soon and then it's back to Kentucky and a certain showdown between Brian and an older brother.:)
Thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend; I really appreciate that. The next chapter should be up sometime tomorrow. Let's just say that you will undoubtedly be very 'moooooved' by it (that's all I'm saying - LOL!). *Hugs* ~Kim

I'm so happy to see Tricky return for a summer of fun and frolic at Britin. I am a little worried about him getting a ham bone, it's very dangerous for dogs to get bones and pork bones are the most dangerous. I think a Kong Toy would be a better chew item for a dog like Tricky. I can't wait to find out what sort of plot Brian has going on with the office remodeling, I'm sure there is something exciting going on behind that wonderful door. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori! I was wondering about that ham bone! In fact, I researched it and while I knew that chicken bones were dangerous, I was under the impression that ham (marrow) bones were okay.: So much for trusting the internet - aargh!
Well, I appreciate the caveat and I'll make sure no harm comes to Tricky...:) Thanks for reading and for the comments, my friend, I do appreciate that very much. *Hugs* ~Kim
