Looks like Molly might be able to work a little magic on Brian. I'm glad Justin is starting to feel a little wary around Markus. So did Justin and Dustin run all the way to NY or did they use some modern mode of transportation? I hope they don't end up in another killing spree already. Dustin sure seems to like to lead Justin into attacks.

Brian is in big trouble because I don't think Molly thought to put a spell on him before leaving him. A spell that would unable anyone (mostly Craig) to enter his mind. She basically told Brian all about Justin and her's plan against Craig.
Brian knows about their ability to read minds but if you told me not to think about clouds, where do you think I will stare ? It's like "don't look but this cute guy is staring at you." It's obvious I will turn around. So, Brian can't stop thinking about Justin and his little chat with Molly. Now, neing face to face with Craig is worse. Can't Brian have some peace ?
Who are the best partners in the investigating scene other than Mulder&Scully ? Some would think Baker&Poncherello or Starsky&Hutch but they don't know so much about supernatural. It was good to see them again. It's been a while. Nostalgia.
With the level of violence in your story if Justin and Dustin ever need a little help... maybe Sam&Dean could help. ;) I'm just saying. No, I'm kidding. Soon there will be Joey, Pacey and Dawson.
Author's Response: By being out of the loop, so to speak, Molly had no idea what Craig had planned for Brian and therefore didn't think about doing any type of protection spell... and they still don't know how to make a spell to prevent against compelling... but they've been working on it!
LOL, I like your cloud reference, and you are right! Poor Brian is out of his league here and won't be able to keep any of his secrets. Eek!

I'm glad I could help you with your story or more like mess with your head. ;) Knowing how Brian is a proud man I thought it was easier for him to talk to Molly about Justin's new life than to confront directly Justin about it. The fact that Molly didn't told him a lot of things is great because if Brian wants to know something, it'll force him to ask, show his interest and maybe offer his help with Jennifer's rescue.
Markus seems a little dumb but I think it's just an act. I don't know, he is either smart and observe what's happening around him or he's really naive to trust and be loyal to Craig. But being as old as he is, he must have seen a lot of things since then. It should be frustrating but I like not knowing where he really stand.
I like the relationship between Justin and Dustin. I think it will become a good friendship (if Dustin would quit the "Prince" everytime he speaks to Justin but I doubt it would be easy) really quick. Justin never had a lot of friends but Daphne. Where is she BTW ? It would be great if Justin talk to her about his life but I understand if he doesn't want to. He doesn't have the time. He has other things to think about. Like with Brian, she could be in danger because of him...
I hope you will find inspiration.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your comments (and messing with my head like that...it worked! I think the chapter turned out better than I had originally planned! so thanks!). Brian and Molly will have more interactions in later chapters, so time will tell what will happen :)
Markus definitely knows more than he lets on, being an advisor to the royals means he has a lot of information on him at all times. But what he chooses to do with them is the question!
I'm glad you like the relationship between Dustin and Justin. Daphne was in early on for a bit (just that he visted her), but you're right, it's hard for him since he can't tell her what he really is. In time he might, but he is still getting used to by a hybrid.

Interesting couple of chapters. There are huge conflicts.
There is sweet, energetic, lovable little Justin Taylor who is now a monster – sometimes. I do understand Brian’s dilemma. Plus, being compelled, as Justin cleverly understood, was a terrible thing for Brian to experience. Can he accept Justin even if Justin promises never to use it? Brian faced death, a horrible death because of Justin. Is Justin worth it?
Dustin was faced with a conflict: sworn to protect his prince, and sworn to obey his prince. We saw what happened when the two came into conflict. What happens if/when Justin’s and Craig’s conflict become known? When Dustin finds out that it was Craig who hired the killers, now what, as he is sworn to protect his prince. Who will Dustin side with, or given the conflict, will he become powerless and ineffective? Even Marcus will face a difficult choice. Does he do what is best for the pack, or support his king, or maybe even take Justin’s side. These conflicts are very cleverly written, and it will be very interesting to see how all this plays out. I won’t even try to guess.

Author's Response: Brian has a lot to think about it, and unfortunately for him, Craig has another plan up his sleeve to keep his head in the game.
Dustin also has a lot to think about. He has made a true friend in Justin, but Craig is the king... when Dustin finds out the truth, what will he/can he do? And you're right, even Markus has some choices he will need to make soon.
I'm so happy that you are enjoying this story. Having never written a supernatural story such as this before (except for my poor attempt at The Lover which I scratched and will probably never continue writing), I really wanted to avoid it from being "vampire/werewolf porn" or fluff. So I really appreciate your comments on the numerous character conflicts that are going on in this story.

I don't like the idea of Dustin being manipulated by Craig but I understand that it's not the right time for him to direct his suspicion on his King.
This chapter kind of surprised me because I expected (hoped) Brian to listen to Justin but he didn't. Then I thought after seeing how sad his Prince is, Dustin would go and talk to Brian while Justin goes back to the castel. Once again, I was wrong. Am I disappointed ? NO ! Because if I'm not mistaking Craig went to New York to find the wolves. Right ? And that's where Dustin and Justin are going next. :)
How long will they be in NY ? Once again who will keep an eye on Molly ? Molly looks after Jennifer and Justin takes care of both. I don't think neither really trust Markus since he's loyal to Craig.
I barely can wait to know about what Justin and Dustin will discover in NY but I also want to know about Molly and her investigation. Will she be the one to secretly talk to Brian and explain what's going on ? I think Brian would be more inclined to listen to her because he knows her (well, he knows who she is) and she looks less intimidating or threatening than Justin or Dustin. And still being human is an advantage for Molly.
Author's Response: Dustin has always been a favorite of all the kings and fellow hybrids, and at this moment still doesn't realize how cruel Craig really is. But when he does discover the truth, then the real problem will arise...what will he do about it?! I am glad you haven't been disappointed in this story. I am actually having a really hard time writing this next coming chapter! I originally had it begin in Brian's office with him talking to Ted about Justin (without going into details about him now being a hybrid and all), but after you commented about Molly...well, you gave me a better idea!!! So thank you for that, but now it screwed up my thought process LMAO ;)
Justin and Dustin won't be in NY for too long. The plan is to just pick up his stuff from his apartment...however while they are there they will learn a few things. Molly will continue with her investigation, and will gain a surprisingly new friend to help in that process of saving her mother.
Again, thanks for your thought about having Molly talk to Brian instead of my original thought of having him chat with Ted.

Author's Response: MArkus is smart, but definitely blinded by rules and traditions. To him, the king is always right...which will cause for quite a conflict later on.
Dustin however, has his eyes a bit more opened, but only because Justin is more than just a prince to him...he is also his friend.
Brian...poor Brian... that is all I can say about that right now.
Another chapter should be up sometime this week :)

As I said in prior comments, you do write action very well. This chapter was action packed. I could almost visually see the fight. Happily though, it was written, else I probably would have had to look away.

back, and Justin watches for a few seconds, knowing that he is now dead”.
Now that was gruesome. Remind me never to p*ss you off. I think I will skip lunch.
I wonder how long it will take for Justin and Dustin to find out who hired these guys? What is Brian going to say? We will see as the story unfolds. I think the “s*it is going to hit the fan. I know that this is just a wild guess, but I don’t trust Marcus. He just may side, not so much with Craig, but with the King and follow tradition. I think he is that sort; a rule is a rule, and he must obey the King (I think?); though he would be a wonderful ally for Justin to have.

You're so evil to stop the chapter like this. I wanted more. It was really well writen. I was as terrified as Brian. All I thought was "I hope Justin is coming soon. Where is Justin damn it ?" while Brian couldn't think at all even less at Justin. You managed the suspence very well.
The thing I noticed : Dustin didn't compelled Brian to forget what happened, just to go to sleep. So, there's an open for Brian and Justin to talk. YEAH ! Now Brian needs protection. Who is more qualified to do the job ? Will Brian allow Justin to come back to the loft ? I guess Justin would prefer for Brian come with him because of Molly and Jennifer. I don't think Justin is comfortable with them being alone with Craig.
I'm waiting for the next chapter to find out. Hopefully soon XD

Wow, nice set up for the next action, and you do write action very well. Sure, Brian is right, he is not alone. Since he is bait, I think he is still safe in that it is Justin they are after. Ok, I learned a lot from this chapter. I kept hoping that somehow, Justin could return to human, but according to Craig, that can’t happen. Maybe if Craig were somehow banished – there is still hope that Justin could somehow be “unhypridized.” (my word)

I thought from the beginning that the Craig / Justin relationship wouldn’t last. However, I never thought that Craig would try to have his own son killed. I did feel felt that Justin, to protect his mother and sister, would do something to get rid of Craig, but I just wonder whether he could kill his own father. Hopefully he and Molly can find something is that book to do something. Now that Brian is bate, I don’t know the extent Justin will go to insure his safety. I wonder how Dustin will feel when/if he finds out that Craig has hired wolves to kill Justin. The intrigue is interesting . Nice going!

Very good action scene. I do believe that the 3 wolves are dead, and that Justin just saved Brian’s life. I just don’t think that Brian sees it that way. I do wonder if Brian will now reject Justin - at least for now. It sure is going to be interesting to hear (read) Justin’s explanation as to what he is. Brian can’t say he doesn’t believe him, he saw it for himself. I don’t think that Craig is as secure and invincible as he thinks he is. Who knows what Molly will discover in those books. Also, l still feel that it is better for Jennifer to have the spell broken, and returns somehow to Tucker, taking Molly with her. Assuming that is possible. I get the feeling that it is better to be human than a hybrid, werewolf, or vampire.

Aww Poor Jennifer, she is not looking like a long term member of the pack. I still keep getting the feeling that Dustin is going to become a ..oh shall we say bone of contention between Justin and Brian before all is said and done...hopefully not done...I really don't want to see Brian become a creature of the night and give up his best human qualities but I don't think Justin will be a true match for him with his hybrid powers. Dustin seems fine, you know for a forest friend but I don't want them to start sharing a dog bed and flea collars like some pair of matching poodles. Great chapter, the chicken bone chewing was a nice touch. I just hope they have a good pack vet on call if they end up with an obstruction, chicken bones are horrible.

I do not see Brian being a pet, even with mild control. I think he will need to be an equal hybrid partner to have any hope of them staying in a relationship. Otherwise I could see Justin hooking up with Dustin...

Author's Response: Pets are just human playthings to the other hybrids, and trust me, Justin has no desire to make Brian his toy! He wants his Brian around for a very long time as his partner :)

OMG I can’t believe this just gets better and better, I get excited each time I see an update. I am so happy we hear Brian’s thoughts and the end of this chapter was funny. At least Justin can’t hear Brian over the phone. I wish we had heard Brian’s thoughts and not Justin’s when he told Justin the loft was his home too but I suppose something’s still have to remain a mystery. Great writing I can’t wait for more.

I liked this chapter, but i have a bad feeling about what is coming. I don't think Justin will be able to keep his new form hidden very long from Brian. I think even just the new car is going to raise some questions. Will Justin still have time to do his art and run around eating nearly raw meat and maintain peace in the pack? Can't wait to see what happens.

Nice chapter. My concern though is what will Brian say when he finds out. Also, how does one tell your lover that you are now a Hybrid. Craig told Justin:

I didn’t think that I like this story. I almost never read B/J Vampire type stories. But for some reason here I am reading this one. You do have wonderful writing skills, and that last chapter was written so smoothly, the words just flowed.
At first glance, I don’t think Justin should have agreed to become a hybrid. Then again, that is what this story is about. I wonder how Justin will tell Brian. That should be interesting. Even more interesting will be Brian’s reactions, and even more than that; if Justin shows Brian what he looks like as a Hybrid, that could certainly be a real “turn off.”
Thanks for the story, to my amazement I like it.

PS: I too when I clicked it, all the lines appeared with no spaces or paragraphs. I then copied and pasted it to a word document. But that wasn’t much help. I then went back and sure enough, proper spacing appeared. I don’t know if that helps any, except just so you know, it wasn’t your imagination.
