I'm glad you finished this as I like to know an author who writes multiple fics at once doesn't abandon any story no matter that one is doing better than the other. I don't mind reading an unfinished fics when I know I will get an ending, thank you. BTW the ending sounded familiar, I think I read a similar ending just recently with the time ticking away. Carl to the rescue, thank goodness he could convince them to send in the SWAT team and remove the gun from Brian.

Oh my gosh what a suspenseful ending! What if the cops find that gun on Brian??! He'll be in big trouble if that happens and he's incriminated.

This played out like a law and order episode. I like how you're leaving exactly what porvocation Justin did a mystery until later. Hopefully we'll find that he really didn't attack the guy. This is a really intriguing read!

I love how you jumped right intot he action of the chapter, with the first thing I read being Brian's outburst in the emergency room. I liked reading his myriad of reactions, from his tears to his anger at the stabber, to the anger at Justin, and then his paralyzing fear and concern at losign him, and then him taking charge of things in the very end. I just thought his mood seemed to change quite rapidly though, and that's my only criticism. But that is probably partially due to the fact that it was several hours timespan depicted in about seven hundred words. Jennifer's admittance of Brian into the medical discussion and her introduction of him as Justin's partner was so sweet. I'm glad she did that. I really hope Justin isn't arrested, and that the police can see that Cody was the instigator. Great idea for a fic, can't wait to see where you take this!
