Use Gus to get Jus--Brian is devious but smart. Gus can wheedle himself into anyone's heart. Good chapter--listeners will love it.lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Lindc! Thanks as always for reading and taking the time to comment.:)

Sigh...apparently readers are not happy with this turn of events.  Perhaps I should have just let it remain angst free. But this is the way my plot bunny took me, for better or for worse.  Hopefully everyone will bear with me while I work out this situation between the boys. Hope the listeners aren't too upset with this angsty twist after you present it to them. Thank you for having faith in me.  Please tell everyone else thanks and give them my best. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I knew Justin was not going to believe Brian.  I do agree with Gus, Justin will be back.  You might make us wait a while for that to happen but I'm sure Justin will be back.  Thanks for the update it is great.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi Bill!  Yes...some angst temporarily. It was the way my muse took me. But not to fear; you know I will get the boys back on the right path soon. I'll have the next part up in a few days. Thank you for reading, and for your comments, my friend. *Hugs*  Kim

I so knew that it was going to go down this way.  Brian Brian you should have left your mouth shut.  Hopefully Justin will find out soon that Brian is not lying. Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Hi, Dee Dee! Thank you for bearing with me through the troubled times. I don't blame Brian; the 'child' comment was a sort of reflex action due to him being upset with Justin; poor choice of words, I suppose, but he is very disappointed Justin did not believe him. Justin, on the other hand, wants so badly to believe Brian, but is not quite sure WHO to believe at this point.  He WILL find out who's being truthful in the next chapter, however.;)

Thanks for reading this latest part, Dee Dee, and for the comments. I truly appreciate that, my friend. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi Kim,

Of Course, it couldn't be that simple. Justin is a trusting person, it isn't surprising he doesn't believe Brian, even if I think deep down he already know Brian wouldn't lie to him that way. And Brian is hurt by Justin's reaction but he still wants him, which shows how deep he has fallen already. Oh, and I love Gus :)

great chapter my friend!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend - thank you for reading, and for your comments. I know this wasn't a popular direction to take it, but I thought it was more realistic. Justin WANTS to believe Brian, but he is also extremely enamored with his new job, and desperately wants to trust that Winslow is not the way Brian depicts him. So he is very torn at the moment.  He will soon find out the truth, however, and will have some major groveling to do.;)  Although, calling Justin 'a child' probably didn't Brian's case help, either.;)

Thanks so much for reading, and for the taking the time to leave a review. I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim

I knew Brian telling Justin about his boss wouldn't go well. I didn't think it would go so badly though. I'm sure Gus is right though and I am looking forward to seeing how Brian fixes it all. Looking forward to more as always!

:)

Author's Response:

Hi, Susan! Well, i pondered how to proceed with it, and I really thought this was more realistic.  Justin is very attracted to Brian, but relatively speaking they have not known each other all that long, so he is still torn as to how much to trust him.  And he also desperately wants to believe that Winslow is being genuine with him, and loves his internship, so he is clearly confused.  He will soon learn the truth, however, and it will shed light on Brian's true intentions.

Thank you for bearing with me while I sort the boys' mess out.  And thank you for the comments; they are greatly appreciated.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Ha I thought Justin would not believe Brian oh well we shall have to wait for his boss to indite himself

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris!  Yeah, definitely did NOT go as smoothly as Brian would have liked.;)  He will soon manage, however, to convince Justin that he had been truthful, and a certain blond will have an apology to bestow - and some crow to eat.;)

Thanks for reading, and for trusting me to get this mess straightened out!  I hope you continue to enjoy it. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2014 06:23 AM · On: A Spot of Light in the Darkness

So it turns our our blond didn't believe Brian minute number one...wow! I hope like hell that whatever Brian has planned next actually works.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara - well, I think part of the reason is because despite his attraction to Brian, they still are relatively strangers to each other. They really have only known each other a fairly short time, and Justin is so enamored with his job that he wants to believe Winslow wouldn't do that. Perhaps that's not fair to Brian, but, again, he's torn about whom to believe at this point. As you may notice, he IS having second thoughts about it, and is still not totally convinced that Winslow is on the up-and-up. I think Justin is a proud man, and wants to make his way independent of  Brian's help, so that may have had a bearing on his emotions.

I guess readers aren't too happy with this turn of events. :/ But things will change soon to where Justin will realize who his allies really are, and then I think I can see some serious groveling going on.  I hope despite this twist that you will still continue to read and enjoy the story. Thank you for reading thus far, and for the support, Tamara. I deeply appreciate that.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

It's such a shame that Justin doesn't believe Brian.  I'm assuming that Kent doesn't really know whether Winslow is homophobe or not.  He's straight so he might never heard Winslow rant.  What is Brian's plan?  I'd really like to know asap.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend. No, Kent is in the dark as much as Justin; he really isn't trying to be deceptive. I just think Winslow is very selective about whom he discusses his homophobia with, and for whatever reason he has chosen to confide in Palmer, which may come back to bite him in the butt.  That may give you a hint.;)

I hope you continue to enjoy the story, and will give me time to bring the boys back around to a happier place. Thank you as always for reading, and for the comments.  *Hugs*  Kim

Reviewer: Lorie (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2014 04:45 AM · On: A Spot of Light in the Darkness

Justin should know that Brian is a very honest man. Maybe he should overhear Winslow saying something. He should have believed Brian.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie! Thanks for the comments.  I get the impression readers aren't happy about this turn of events.:/  Completely understandable, but Justin really does not know Brian that well just yet, so he is still somewhat confused about whether his motives are 100% pure. I do know he has doubts about Winslow, too, but at this point he can only go by what all the evidence says, so he is still torn about it.  I do hope you are still enjoying the story, though, and will give me time to get them back to a happier place. Thanks for reading and for taking the time to leave feedback, Lorie. I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Ugh it figures Justin's boss is a homophobic jerk! I hope that will be enough for Justin to leae there and go to work for Brian. Looking forward to what happens next. Really do love this story Kim. I smile every time I read a new chapter.

:)

Author's Response:

I'm glad you anticipate new chapters to this, Susan! Yes, some angst for a while. But you know I won't leave it that way for long.;)  I'll have another part up probably tomorrow, just as soon as things slow down at work. Ugh. Hi, Kim! Thanks for another wonderful chapter – I *love* how comfortable Brian and Justin are with each other already, and how much Justin cares about Gus. It seemed he was more worried about Gus waking up than Brian himself :)

I *loved* Brian’s jealousy reaction to Ted’s statement! Poor Ted, he didn’t even understand what was wrong with his words. You described wonderfully how conflicted Brian feels – he misses Justin desperately, he wants him, he’s possessive of him, but he’s also scared of letting him have too much power, so he’s keeping him on his toes. I wonder how long it would take for Brian to realize Justin is far more important to him than any insecure doubts.

I felt happy when Brian won the award, though I wasn’t sure who I was cheering for most — Justin did an incredible work as well. But when I saw what an asshole Winslow is!.. Really, I hate people like him. Who the hell needs his ugly ass? Does he, being straight, want to jump old fat women? Or every girl he sees? Stupid, bigoted idiots.

Where did Justin go? I hope Brian will tell him what he heard.

Thank you for another great chapter! I can’t wait for the next one!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin! Sorry, by the way, for not reading your latest chapter to your story. I definitely will; can't wait to read it.  It has just been a very busy week so far.;)  As for this story, yeah, Winslow is not a very nice - or smart - man to put such a use of talent in jeopardy.  I loved your comment about him jumping old, fat women, BTW - ha!

Now the question remains, will Brian tell him? And will he believe him if he does? Hope you will stay tuned; I'll have another part up very soon. Thank you for reading, and for all the support, my friend. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Yeah ... Kinnetik won the award!! Grrrr .... Winslow, hopefully find Brian Jus soon and he believes Brian. Great chapter!!! El. xx

Author's Response:

Hi, Elly! Thanks so much for reading, and for taking the time to leave your thoughts.;)  Winslow is a jerk; that is certainly true.  But will a certain blond believe what Brian is telling him?  Or will Brian even say something?  I'll have another part of this up very soon. Thanks again, Elly. You're the best.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: October 07, 2014 01:00 PM · On: Rollercoaster of Emotions

Well now==Mr Winslow turns out to be a homophobe. That puts a twist on things. I hope Justin believes him when he tells him. Maybe this will be the catalyst to win him over to Kinnetik. I knew it would take something like this jolt to have him leave. He will be pissed, but probably glad. Good chapter. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, Lindc!  Yeah, Winslow knows talent when he sees it, but he can't always keep his mouth shut properly.  That is going to be the question, isn't it? Will Justin believe Brian or not?  We'll get the answer to that coming up.;) Thanks so much for all your support; you know how much that means to me. Give everyone my best. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend.  You will find out what happens with the information Brian has coming up very shortly.;)  It may not be quite as easy as he thinks, though.;)  Thanks so much for reading and reviewing; I'll have another part of this up very soon. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Tash - it would have been easier if Justin HAD overheard, too; then Brian wouldn't have the not-so-pleasant task facing him.  And will Justin have reason to question his motives?  Just how well does he know him at this point?  Stay tuned; I'll have more up very soon. Hi, Chris! Yes, that might certainly make a difference. But you really didn't think I would make it quite that easy, did you? Damn I hope Brian gets to Justin soon and furthermore believes what he has to tell him. I'm sure this new piece of information will sway his decision to stay at StrataG.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tamara! I believe you've gotten to the crux of the problem.  WILL Brian reveal to Justin what he heard, and....will Justin even believe him? After all, just how well does he know him?  The answer to those questions is coming up.  I'll have another part up very soon. Thank you as always for reading, my friend. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Yay!  Kinnetik won.  Wouldn't it be funny if Justin was in the washroom and heard the whole thing?  That would be major reason for Justin to turn in his resignation.

Author's Response:

Hi, my dear.  I'm sure Winslow is NOT a happy man right now, and now he's put his foot in his mouth without realizing it.  I'm afraid Justin overhearing didn't happen; in fact, the question now will be...will he believe Brian at all?  The answer to that is coming up.  I'll have another part to this up very soon. Thanks again for all the support! *Hugs*  ~Kim

Damn, I was hoping that after hearing that, Brian could walk out, give Justin a big kiss and tell him what he had overheard, right in front of that prick.

Loving this story.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie! I'm so glad you're enjoying this story. Thank you for letting me know, and for the comments.  Sorry to say that Justin wasn't in there, but it WOULD have been nice to give Winslow a taste of his own medicine.;)  I'll have the next part up very soon, which will explain a little more about what's going on.  Thanks again for all the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello, my dear!

A great chapter again!

I could imagine the whole scene. Brian triumphant getting beat your competitor, but having to pretend not to know Justin to protect your job.

I laughed out loud imagining the glare that Ted should have received from Brian by Justin covet.

Winslow is a big jerk and will only lose the talent of Justin for being homophobic and prejudiced. Best to Brian besides winning the talent of Justin for Kinnetik, will also win the blonde in your life.

A big hug, my friend!

Fatima.

Author's Response:

Hi, Fatima!  Yes, I don't think Ted realized how deeply Brian feels for Justin, so that remark would not have gone over too well with his boss.;)  I think the question now is - what will Brian do about this information? And will Justin even believe him?  I will have another part of this up soon. Thank you as always for all the support, my friend It is deeply appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This story is just so sweet-I just love it. It will be interesting to see where it goes when they go back to the wonderful"PITTS" Me thinks noone will be too happy--we shall see what happens next. I will be reading this one 2 morrow. As usual they will be hanging on every word. I have read over half of your stories to them so far. One that stood out by my reading was Trust--not a dry eye in the room from that one. You are truly sooo good a writer. Reading these stories again to different listeners has proved that fact over and over. You are a marvel, girl nd I hope you know that. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  YOU and the peeps are the marvels, constantly reviewing my work and offering encouragement. Sometimes your type of comments is all I have to keep me going, so I truly appreciate them.;)  I'm very happy you're enjoying this story.  They WILL, obviously, reunite, but it will take a little time.  And yes, neither man is going to be happy over the separation, although one, stubborn brunet will try to deny it to himself.;)

Thanks again, lindc.  I am humbled that your peeps were touched by "Trust," and have been enjoying my stories. Please tell them how much I appreciate it.  Oh, and I have tickets to Randy's show on 10/18.  Alhough I have NO idea yet how I'm going to get there yet - ha!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

The ride on the train was oh so very nice. Brian is such a devoted father and Justin drawing Gus and Bud was great to read. Knowing that Justin ends up going to Pittsburgh with Brian has me looking forward to reading how you work that out.

Author's Response:

Hi, my dear! I appreciate you continuing to read and comment; my readers (reviewers, anyway) seemed to have disappeared for the most part after the first chapter. :/  I hope this is still enjoyable to them nevertheless.  I will certainly explain how they come to be in the same town - and the same house - but it will take a little time yet. Author's Response:

Hi, Susan! Thanks for reading, and for your comments on this chapter!  I love Daphne's character. She will be in this quite a bit coming up, and will be instrumental in making the boys happy.;)  I should have the next part up tonight. I'm a nosy piker--;ooled it up---2006 Berkshires. I am sure that is why he is going to do it out here, because of Nick. I would love to see Kinky Boots. I see where Neil Patrick Harris finally tied the knot--long over due to my way of thinking. Don't know if I will be able to see Randy--long way from me--just have to wait and see what the gods have in store. lol

Author's Response:

Thanks for the info. I guess he has pretty much severed ties with the Berkshires, at least for now.  I hope you get the chance to see both shows. Kinky Boots won't be too near me, so I would have to drive somewhere. I've heard it's great, though. Thanks again for the information.;) *Hugs*  ~Kim

About Randy and Amadeus--didn't he play in Amadeus several years ago? I thought I read that somewhere. I think it was after QAF had ended. Thought I would ask as you are the expert on him. lol

Author's Response:

Yes, you're right - he did. I don't remember if it was at the Berkshires, or NYC, though.  Kind of surprised he would travel to CA to act, but his BF is there in his KinkyBoots tour, so maybe that was a consideration.;)  I would love to see it, but so far to go for a weekend.  I AM thinking about it, though. I only have one word: MORE!!!

Author's Response:

Oh, you just made my day with this update!:) I was waiting impatiently to get home and to check if you’ve added another chapter – and yes, you did!:) And it was amazing, like always. Justin was far more affected by his encounter with Brian than I thought at first. He could hardly catch his breath! Brian *is* blinding, that’s true.

The moment with Gus was scary – in more ways than one. I was eating a cake a few years ago, and I was so greedy that I was taking really big pieces. Suddenly I started to choke – that was one of the most terrifying moments in my life, I couldn’t breathe at all, I couldn’t speak, I was helpless. I still don’t know why, but in ten or fifteen seconds that damned piece of cake finally managed to go down by itself, and I could breathe again. Since then I developed a phobia – I can’t swallow instinctively, I have to force myself, or I start to have a panic attack. So I understand perfectly what poor Gus felt – and Brian… Gus is a child, he might not understand the concept of death yet, but Brian witnessed it all – he saw his worst fear coming to life.  He must feel incredibly grateful to Justin. And now they’re going on a date – yay!:) I can’t wait to see it!

Thank you, great chapter, but even though it’s long, it still seemed very short. My eternal problem!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin!  You always write such thoughtful comments. Thank you for that, and for reading this story.  I am so honored that you look forward to reading updates to it.;)

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I actually had a similiar one. I almost choked on a piece of steak in a restaurant. I literally couldn't breathe, until my mom thumped me on the back and it came out. VERY scary.

As for this story, I really enjoy including Gus as you know in my stories when I can.  This story will partly emphasize how deeply Brian loves his son, and how he is willing to put his own wants and needs aside temporarily for him. But don't worry; he will get some 'playtime' as well.;)  I should have the next chapter up tomorrow. Thanks again for all your encouragement, Katrin! *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

LOL!  You're just thinking naughty thoughts, I know you!;)  Believe it or not, things may not go quite the way Brian hopes. But...don't despair.  I think the boys will be getting better acquainted very soon.;)  Thanks for reading, Tamara, and for leaving your thoughts. I was afraid everyone had deserted me after the first chapter - LOL!;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I did not expect to see Brian drop the ball and not know what to do when Gus had his little choking event. I guess it was a handy way to give Justin a chance to show off his skills, some men will do anything to get noticed. I bet Daphne stuck toothpicks in those chicken strips to cause a problem. I think the medicinal Silly straw was a stroke of genius but the gift of the shrill train whistle might backfire on him. I'm afraid some night in the future that train whistle might disturb some intimate moment Justin might want to prolong. I love this story and can't wait to see what happens on the train ride. I wonder what type of Bears Justin was talking about when he mentioned them to Gus, the 4 legged kind or 2 legged....
Lori

Author's Response:

LOL! I didn't think about the 'other' bears - ha!  That might scar Gus for life.;)  Gus IS going to be a bit of a challenge as far as the boys gettng better acquainted, but that's part of the story plot fun.;)  So good to see you back, Lori. BTW, thank you for the lovely e-card. That was very sweet and thoughtful of you. I really appreciate that. I miss my father so much, and my mother does even more. They were married for almost 60 years (missed it by a month), and she married him at 17. So she misses him terribly as well. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.  I'll have part 3 up within a couple of days. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Jus better be thankful for Daph--she is quite the matchmaker. The listeners are so funny. They want to know why you don't put several chapters up at once instead of just one. I told them it was your call how your stories are shown here. They really are a trip. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! Hi, peeps!  Tell them I am very flattered they want more than one chapter.  Part of the reason is because I don't want to keep posting chapters and having other writers' works pushed down the page each time I post a new part on the same day close together. I don't think that's really fair to them. Plus I post on a total of three sites, so part of it is just the time involved in between doing my teaching job and my tasks at home, along with being a beta to 4 different authors.  I really think it's best to do it this way.  I am assuming they have already read all the real long stories that I've completed? :)  I CAN say that this story is over 40,000 words, so I have quite a bit more to tell yet.  Tell them thank you for the interest! I really do appreciate it.

BTW, don't know how close you are to Santa Barbara, but just saw where Randy's going to be in "Amadeus" in October at the Ensemble Theater there. Any chance you could go? I would love to do it, but airfare alone would be over $600, and I just can't justify spending about $1,000 for a long weekend there with the 3-hr time difference. Sigh...wish it was closer. But maybe you can arrange to see it.

I'll have the next chapter up within a couple of days. Thanks again, lindc! *Hugs*  ~Kim

What an adventure.  Justin saving Gus from choking!  Inviting him on a train ride is the least Brian can do since Justin refused the money.  But how did Brian know about the God comment?  Counting the hours til the next chapter is up.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Thank you as always for reading and for the comments.  As for the 'God' remark, I think that was just a coincidence, and Brian was teasing him.;)  Gus is going to be a hindrance somewhat to Brian's plans, but with his love for him, it is something he will willingly accept.  Do not fear, though; that does not mean the boys won't have some playtime, too.;)  I'll have the next chapter up in a couple of days. Thank you for all the support you give me, and so many other writers; it is greatly appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello, my dear Kim!

A great chapter for this delightful story.

Brian is an amazing father to Gus. It is unfortunate that this side of his personality was not further explored in the show. This is another of my many frustrations regarding CowLip.

His story is so beautiful! I love the scenarios you create for our boys by you. And this is one of his great stories, for sure.

It was exciting the part where Justin saves Gus. This is the shortest to the heart of Brian path (even he's being very interested in the ass and the other physical attributes of Justin).

Surely Brian would love to have Justin on its menu. I loved that line.

Now just wait for the train ride and see what you booked for the next chapter.

A big hug, my friend.

Fatima.

Author's Response:

Hi, Fatima!  LOL! Yes, Justin would make a good appetizer, and a good dessert.;)  I am so happy you are enjoying this story, dear friend. Thank you for reading, and for leaving me your thoughts. There is a lot more to tell (over 40,000 words), so there will be several more chapters. I will get the next part up very soon.  By the way, I am working on the last chapter of your story right now and hope to have it done soon. Thank you again.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

How perfect to find a story from you just waiting for me. You even managed to have a meal I would be happy to eat, of course I would be dipping my grilled cod in a vat of melted butter. I am a bit worried that Brian might be edging vary close to child abuse if he is serious about forcing Gus to eat healthy food. I think if he just adds a caramel apple to what he's already decided on he'll have a perfect meal. Of course I'd get rid of that nasty milk and add a cold Dr. Pepper to make sure to get the daily required fizzy caffeine. I can't wait to see what else Brian decides to taste on the menu.
Lori~ So happy to be back to land of zippy fast internet.

Author's Response:

Oh, Lori, how I have missed these humorous comments!  So glad to have you back on the site.;)  I'll try not to have Gus abused too much in this story.;)  I'll get the next part up later today. Thanks for choosing to read this one, and for your comments. And welcome back!  Give the big baby a belly rub for me.;)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

New story! And what a promising start!!!

I love how Brian interact with Gus. He is such an adorable little boy!

Looking forward to read the rest!

Author's Response:

Hi, Nadia! Thank you for reading this first chapter, and for your comments, my friend.  I'm glad you're enjoying the part about Gus and his dad.;)  I'll have the next part up sometime this evening.  Thanks again for the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Lovely start. I love the way you write Brian Justin and Gus Kim. You seem to understand all three of them so very well. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this. Also I am so very happy to see a new story from you. Can't wait for more as always.

Well done!

:)

Author's Response:

Hi, Susan! You're very kind, my friend. Thank you for reading this first chapter, and for your comments. :) I"m so happy you enjoyed the first chapter of this.  I will have the next chapter up tomorrow.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Adorable beginning.  I'm looking forward to the next chapter being posted.

We have a place a lot like the Sit A Spell.  Its at our Coombs market, in BC Canada.  The inside is a treasure trove a kid like Gus would instantly get lost in and find plenty of mischief!  Their advertising draw is the goats on the store's grassy roof!  So very cute.

I've never seen a waiter as hot as Justin, or any customers as hot as Brian, though.  As a woman I know I can't have either, anyway, but it's okay.  As long as I can WATCH.  LOL.

Oh, and kudo's to Brian for his calm reaction during a potentially humiliating situation.  He kept Gus' feelings foremost in his mind and responded beautifully.  :)

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Thank you for reading this first chapter, and for taking the time to comment. That store sounds like a lot of fun, especially with the goats!  I love animals.;) And you're right; none of the wait staff in the country restaurants I visit have waiters - or patrons - like that, either.;)

Brian's going to have a hard time juggling his role as father and predator during this trip, but I think he will respond to the challenge well.;)  I'll have the next chapter up tomorrow. Thank you again for reading, and for your feedback! *Hugs*  ~Kim

So nice to have you back.. This story so far is so precious. I liked it so much I read this first chapter to the listeners--they love, love, love it. Now they will be bugging me to bug you with more chapters.I loved NZ the show was incomperable--such stars they are. Needless to say Adam was the shining light. We are all good here. BB is off teaching again. Lee is getting married at Christmas and maybe moving to Oregon. Don't know yet. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! Sooo good to hear from you. I have been thinking about you, Brian, Lee, and all the other peeps.  You are so kind. I am glad you are still here with me, and that you and the others are enjoying this story so far.  I'm glad you had a good vacation, too, and that you are all doing well.  I have a friend in Australia who went to see the concert, too, and is a huge Adam Lambert fan as well.

So Lee is getting married?  That is wonderful news! Please tell him how happy I am for him. He certainly deserves much happiness after everything he has been through. Please give him and Brian my love, and tell them how much their support has meant to me, as has yours. And tell everyone that the next chapter will be up tomorrow, and subsequent chapters will be posted probably every other day until it is finished.  Now I'll have to try and get Lee's favorite story completed before he gets married and moves!  I'll try my best.  It's not too far from being completed, I believe.:)

Thank you again for reading, for the comments, and for all the support you give me. And please tell everyone how much I appreciate them reading my stories.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Oh Kim, a great start, I see it all for me " Jus red blush ". Can't wait for more!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Elly, my friend!  Thank you for reading this first chapter and for your kind words.;)  Taking care of Gus will make Brian's playtime a little sparse, but not to worry; he will find some time for a little recreation with his favorite waiter before the vacation is over.;)  I'll have the next chapter up tomorrow. Thank you again for reading, Elly, and for your support. I really appreciate it. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Oh my God, I can’t believe it, a new story! I’m crazily happy now, this great news has totally day! And it’s always a pleasure to know that the story is already finished and you’re just torturing us with updates, I can’t keep my hands off WIPs, but sometimes it’s excruciating to wait for the next chapter.

I loved the beginning! What an interesting idea – Gus was so funny when he waited on Brian, so business-like and adultish. I wonder how Justin came to live with them – can’t wait to find out! I *loved* the first meeting, it was incredibly beautiful like always – when you describe something or someone – especially Justin – you do it so good that I just melt in a puddle. I feel like falling for this person myself. Brian, as usually, was endearingly cocky, and Justin – rightfully embarrassed. I’m looking forward to seeing their relationship progress! Especially I can’t wait for angst – you know I’m a sucker for it :)

Thank you for another brilliant beginning, Kim!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin!  I am always so delighted to find out you are reading one of my stories, and I always look forward to your thoughts. Thank you for reading this first chapter, and for the feedback.  I did not want to post all the chapters at once and monopolize the site, so I will be posting one about every other day until it is done. Not sure how many chapters it will be, since it is all in one document, but it's about 30,000 words, so it will be several chapters yet to come.;)  I do hope you continue to enjoy it! Thank you again for reading, and for your wonderful comments.  I am working on my other stories, too, BTW, and hope to have an update to "My Heart's Desire" very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Thanks for reading this one, and for your comments. I really appreciate that.  Yes, I have it done (finally!) with the exception of the epilogue, so I'm confident by the time the other chapters are posted, it will be complete.;)  I hope you enjoy the rest of it.  I'll have another chapter up probably tomorrow. Oh boy!  A new story and it certainly looks entertaining.  I look forward to future chapters.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetie! Thank you for reading this one, and for leaving your comments. Brian won't have a smooth road here; not with balancing his roles as a 'stud' and as a devoted father. But that is what's going to make this so much fun. Don't worry, though; our lothario will definitely get some play time of his own coming up.  Thanks again! I'll have the next chapter up within a couple of days.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This is funny to me, because I just ate at the Cracker Barrel tonight with the family.  My server was not as hot as young Justin, though.  I wonder what Brian would like for a take home meal?  Hmmmm

LOL! I wish I had thought of that line; I would have used that!;)  And yes, I have been to more of those than I care to admit. It's my mom's favorite restaurant. This one is definitely modeled after those, but I always get some plain-looking female when I go - ha! Thanks for reading this first chapter, and for leaving your thoughts, my friend.  I really appreciate that, and hope you enjoy the rest. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hey, my friend!

Glad to see another history your. It promises to be another wonderfull trip (no pun intended) like all your stories are.

I really needed something to cheer me today and see the email telling me that a new story of Predec2 was posted made his magic required.

I'm glad to know that you managed to release this story. She definitely was sorely missed in the Summer Challenge, but what matters and that you can finally share with all of us who love you and your writing.

Hugs, my friend!

Fatima.

P.S: I love your banner!

So, there was me wondering what to do on a sunday night, home alone when I get an email telling me you'd posted a new story. After that, it was an easy decision to make.

I love love love AU meets (I sometimes feel with canon stories that I've read it a hundred times already), so I'm in love with this already.

Even knowing that Justin ends up living with Brian doesn't diminish from the story at all, as there's still the whole journey of how they got there and what exactly the deal with Brian and Lindsay and Gus is. So very excited.

(And Gus as a waiter is so damn cute.)

Author's Response:

Hi, Nikki! I'm so glad you're enjoying this so far! I've been dying to post it, but didn't want to until I had it done.  I'm there now (with the exception of the epilogue), so I hope you like the rest of it.  I'm kind of relieved to write something without a lot of angst in it for a change! :)Thanks so much for choosing to read this one, and for your comments; I really appreciate that. *Hugs*  ~Kim
